RE: Question - Ida H. Lake & John G. Lake
The photographs of this cemetery were the first entire cemetery I took. I started from the back. I think almost directly behind the church and walked toward the church. I then continued to the right -toward the center of town- on the street side and walked toward the back to the only mousoleum. I think that I started mid Nov. so a photograph date of early Dec should put the location _ looking at the church- to the left closer to the street than the mousoleum. Do you live close? I can take a walk back there at some point and try to relocate.

I am transferring her to you since I can't find my reference to her burial at Mt Hope Cemetery. It is unlikely since the family lived in Bowdoin.

Be safe,
Carolyn

I do not believe she is in this cemetery. I have been working on this cemetery and I have not seen any stones from 1700's. Maine Franco-American Genealogical Society have a list of names and they are from 1826 on.

RE: Asenath Stover Kinnear
Hi Kate --

Sorry, can't help you. When I lived in Maine, Old Harpswell Cemetery is just one of the cemeteries I recorded. At the time I put them on line at a Maine website, later I added them to FindAGrave.

I no longer live in Maine.

Holyhood Cemetery. A nice and safe place as I see it. I would suggest calling the Office before you go. Map and grave locations are available from them BUT... i've had problems asking for more than 2 at a time. They are fussy about giving free info... now charging $10 per name. So call and ask for 2 at a time. (1 from each grave if you can) Check out their website listed on the Cemetery page.

I just added two more shots of the gravestones that I had taken. I hope you don't mind. If you do mind, just let me know and I'll remove them.

This Stover died in Bangor, Maine according to his Stone. Do you have sources that say different besides what is on Ancestry.Com
