RE: John Mecum, Adam Porter Mecum
Brian,

Thank you again for all of the information. Please email the images of the 1865 John to Minerva marriage and the Ella Mecum death record. I have been able to find an index for them but not the images. I have been working on your information and will have an email message to you soon.--Storres

John Mecum Memorial
Brian,

This is in response to your John W. Mecum memorial, Find A Grave Memorial# 88099290. I am searching for Adam Porter Mecum, born April 19, 1840 in Muncy, PA and lived in Middlebury IN. He moved with his family, father John Mecum and mother Rosena Garnhart to Indiana in 1849. Do have any information that will help me locate this family? Any help will be greatly appreciated.--Storres

James Wright
I see what is wrong here. This is actually the picture of Joseph C Wright, son of James Wright. See your memorial 88100070 which you gave to me.

He served in 48th. The best picture is on memorial 88100070.

There were 4 Wright brothers who came to Middlebury before 1850. James, Nelson, Josiah, John Hamilton (my ggpa, came to CA, buried at Presidio of SF.)

Hello Brian;

I don't remember being told that your dad had a sister who died as a child. Did she have an illness? I remember Julia and Gerry quite well.

RE: Sarah (Reynolds) Gailey
I think I found them in the Joseph Henderson household in Thorn, Perry, Ohio. Look for Sarah Sevits. No hubby Sevits, so I'm thinking she's widowed and living with her parents.

Sarah Jane is probably the "Jane" age 8. It matches up with quite a few of her census birthdates of 1842. Here's the link at familysearch.org website:

David Mathias
Mathias Family
Mr. Hoggatt:
We are related, although quite distant, as Harriet Mathias Sprinkle is the first child from the first marriage of James Mathias. I am related to James's third marriage to Ellen Oliver. James is my great great grandfather.
I have been searching for many years for James's father and mother, Joseph and Prudence (Holland) who I believe are buried somewhere in Brown County, possibly Jackson Township, Ohio. Equally as important is finding Joseph's parents, who I don't know who they are. Joseph was born in Virginia, later moving to Fayette County, Pa., and about 1828-29 moving to Brown County, Ohio.
Would you have any information on Joseph and/or his parents and/or any other previous Mathias generations?
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
David Scott Mathias
