RE: Thomas Bosley Gorsuch photos
I try to be accurate in my documentation, so as far as I know, the Memorial information should be correct.

Find A Grave is my primary family history documentation website, so most of my family information that I have, I have posted there.

In search of later where abouts for Sarah E. Gorsuch, we can see that the portrait I posted was taken in Los Gatos, Calif. (How did she get to Calif?) I emailed the Los Gatos Historical society, regarding when she lived there, but they found no record of Sarah ever living there.

You can certainly use these pictures. Do you have any information on Sarah Gorsuch? She married one of my Great Uncles: John E Morrison.

If you have not already, please check out John E Morrison's Memorial page pictures. There in PICTURE section, are many Civil War letters written from the field. They give a lot of insight into life in the Civil War. John's Find A Grave Memorial is # 64109887.

RE: Gorsuch family grave photo
Gloria,
Please feel free to enjoy any of the photos I have added to the site. I will state the one you seek as well as many others from the cemeteries in Montezuma were taken originally with a film camera and then when I began adding to Find a grave I just scanned the pictures I already had. Thus it is not as good as if I was there today with a digital camera to see the instant results, although today is cold and snowing so I would not be there. Are you related along the Gorsuch or the Murrow line ?? Many of the Gorsuch are in my tree but Thomas is not a relative.

Elliott Hopper's father James Marion Hopper was the brother of Malissa Jane Hopper. Malissa married Isaac Battles on 16 Jan 1859 in Blount County, Alabama. He passed away in 1865 and she later married William Thomas Painter.

While married to Isaac, they had a son Andrew Jackson and a daughter Samantha Ellen. Andrew is my husband's 2nd great grandfather.

I don't have a copy but I am going to see if I can get an actual copy. I submitted it to you through the edit instead of "edit birth/death date" so that it wouldn't automatically change until I got my hands on it!!

I was actually curious if you are of relation?

I saw that you had the links so I removed mine and deleted the memorial. She is related to my husband's maternal line but like you several times removed. Thanks

It will be after Christmas but I will get you a photo of same and attach to web site. Glenn Kirk

Thanks for telling me about my duplicate of your grandmother,Louise Tune, in Elm Branch. I will be glad to delete it. There is a tombstone photo on it made by John Smith. his email is johnsmith1199@prodigy.net, you may be able to have him put the photo on your memorial. When I delete mine I will also be deleting the link I made to her husband. You may want to make the link on your memorial.

Stephen Smith Kirk, 1807-
Following up to previous, I found evidence on "Kirk Geneolgy" that this Stephen Smith Kirk was the son of Young Kirk who was the son of another Stephen Kirk, the first immigrant from North Ireland of the lineage that followed. The first Stephen was born in 1740, came to America in 1762 and died in SC in 1822. Glenn Kirk

On memorial #61961220 for Viola Ann Holchak Tune (Mrs. Guy Tune) please change her mothers maiden name from Waungeman to Wangemann. Might help searchers find her. I knew Uncle Guy and Aunt Viola. Thanks for the memorial.

Gloria, I thought you might want to update your memorial for Thomas C. Tune, #71690190. I added a memorial for Ruth McKinney, today, and linked her to her father's. His memorial states that she is one of the children not linked to his memorial.

A "new" little Tune?
One of my reasons for updating this group on Ancestry is that Joseph W Tune (1887-1900) is buried in a Tune group with Walter Cleveland Tune and wife, and Thomas Lucien Tune. For lack of better identification, I'm assuming he's son of Lewis J and Louisa Cook Tune. Photo included. --H

RE: Database at Ancestry
AACK! Was just sending the link, but had to find you again first. There are any number of "married ins," schoolmates, church chums, and funeral friends of my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc., but no ancestors. They show up so many times between cemeteries and census records that I try to keep up. Your list on RootsWeb will do just fine, I think, but will holler if anything looks just too tempting. Thanks! --H

RE: Lewis Hill Tune Memorial
Just when you thought it was over...just came across what I'm pretty sure is your Ancestry tree. Have added some tombstone photos on Ancestry to my more nearly related (Berry-Carothers) Tunes and the ones farther out and even unidentified (Mid-Tenn Connections #2). Both are trees public, so help yourself any photos that might be helpful.
