 | RE: Re: the Langley family I agree, it would be very sad to have a relative in an unmarked grave in the poor house cemetery. My grandfather, Andrew, would have been one of those, as there was no money for a headstone. But luckily, my uncle, Leo Langley, Andrew's only son put up a headstone as soon as he could afford it.
It must have been so discouraging to come from Norway looking for a better life, only to end up penniless after all the years he worked. I never knew him--but my mother told me stories about him. His wife died when she was 34 and left him with 6 young children to care for--and he couldn't do it. The kids were farmed out to other relatives, but all grew up to be wonderful people.
Thanks again for all you do for us to find our loved ones!

 | Re: Andrew Langley Hi, Dr. Karban. I don't see any picture of Andrew on his site. I only see the headstone picture that i asked for. So I'm not quite sure what's going on.
I would love to have his site--he is my grandfather. His memorial # is: 54748755

 | RE: jacob frahm Hi, Dr. Karban. Thank you for the work you have done creating sites for us Frahms to explore. I'm very new to Find A Grave, but I think it's wonderful as a way to fill in blanks in our genealogy.
Jacob and Nannie Frahm were my grandparents and I'd love to take over their sites if that's ok with you. I have a few pictures and some information I can add for other relatives who are looking.
Again, thanks for all you do for those of us out there searching!
