On her husband's memorial (#36099509) it reads in the bio section that his wife is Evelyn UNKNOWN. Now that you have the link to her, perhaps you should update the bio?

Hi Cindy. The Hainer and Hainor Cemeteries got merged and the Hainor on Crooked Creek got deleted. I noticed on his death certificate that the residence and place of death was Peach Creek. So I would be safe to say that he was buried at Crooked Creek. The Hainer is on Big Creek outside of Peck's Mill. I have requested from Adm. to put the Hainor back to Crooked Creek. My photo's were taken from Crooked Creek. I want to add the GPS location for the Map. Still waiting for a response. Peach Creek and Crooked Creek are next to each other. Both have their own Post Offices. Would welcome your input. Thanks, Diane

Pauline Chapman
Hi,
I located the Chapman family plot at Maple Lane Cemetery in Stratham, NH. Lauris, Pauline and son Lauris are buried together there. I posted pictures for you. I thought you might like to edit Pauline's grave location on her memorial page. If you wish, I will gladly transfer the memorial for Lauris, their son upon request.
Have a good day,
Anne Blake

Pauline Chapman
Lauris J. Chapman

PORTSMOUTH - Memorial services for Lauris J. Chapman, 70, of 928 South St., were held Saturday at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel. The Rev. David Avery, pastor of First Congregational Church of Eliot, officiated.

In attendance were members of the First Congregational Church of Eliot.

Burial was in Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham, with committal services by Rev. Avery.

Above is from the internet. Perhaps Pauline is buried in Stratham with her husband and not in Portsmouth at Harmony Grove. Good Luck!

Dunford graves in Greenwood Cemetery
Hi Cindy, I'm sorry to be late answering your request--haven't had time for Find a Grave in awhile. There are no grave photos for the four that you named--no tombstones that I know of. William, George and Mrs. E.J. were added by me. William and George from information from Gene Hoover, a researcher who documented Greenwood Cemetery in 1977-the info. on them probably came from family interviews by Mr. Hoover. Mrs. E.J. I found in the records of Seaver Brown Funeral Home. Years ago women were identified by the husband's name. Maybe I'll find her given name sometime. I have much more funeral home research to do--maybe this winter. Hope that this info is helpful. Thank you for your interest in Greenwood Cemetery.

Jonathan Ratliff
RE: James Ratliff (1873 - 1952)
Hi Cindy...

I'll be happy to send you some photos; I'll work on getting them to you this week...

BTW *after* I sent you my original message I found there was a listing for Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Find A Grave... (Sorry, but I didn't think to look for this cemetery before my original message...)

The listing only showed about a dozen interments at the cemetery... And James Ratliff wasn't shown as one of them...

The thing is, my parent's had a child (Martin Lester Ratliff) who was born premature and only lived a couple of days... He was buried in 1956 at the "Ratliff cemetery" - but he isn't listed among the dozen interments at Rob Ratliff Cemetery...

Neither is Rob Ratliff or his wife Dollie; or their son, Gabe Carlos Ratliff, or G.C.'s son, Randy Blake Ratliff... In their obituaries, all were said to be buried in Rob Ratliff Cemetery...

And I've run across numerous obituaries for other people that refer to burial being at Rob Ratliff Cemetery...

Could the dozen interments listed for Rob Ratliff Cemetery on Elkhorn Creek in Pike County, Kentucky be out-dated/incomplete?...

Or could there be a *different* Rob Ratliff Cemetery on/near Elkhorn Creek?...

Jon

James Ratliff (1873 - 1952)
Cindy,

I saw a discussion about the burial location of James Ratliff at the following link:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=30923053&ref=acom

James and Malissa (Hughes) Ratliff were my Great-Grandparents...

I believe James is buried in what I always heard called "...the Ratliff family cemetery"... This cemetery was (is?) on private property in Shelby Gap, Pike County, Kentucky...

Jame's son Robert "Rob" Ratliff and his wife Dolly (Bartley) Ratliff and their children all lived in Shelby Gap, not too far from the "family cemetery"... They performed the upkeep of the cemetery...

"Rob" was the brother of Martin Ratliff, who was my grandfather... I clearly recall as a child visiting "Uncle Rob and Aunt Dolly" at their home in Shelby Gap with my parents Troy and Della Mae (Lester) Ratliff...

Rob and Dolly died within a few months of each other in 1979...

Google Maps shows a "R. H. Ratliff Cemetery" just off US 460 in Shelby Gap... Another source calls it "Rob Ratliff Cemetery"... This cemetery isn't too far from the house where Rob & Dolly lived, and I believe this is where Rob's father James Ratliff is buried...

Branch Mountain
Twice in one day. I just wanted to let you know that I have started receiving requests to delete the memorial that I added because it was a duplicate, and please add my pics to the original. I think I have had just about enough of this cemetery. For the life of me I can't see how one tombstone with a husband and wife's name on it.....one is buried in one cemetery and the other in another. So I deleted all 300+ records I had added to Branch Mountain.

RE: 70636836
First let me tell you, that I am not originally from around here. But...there is a big sign over the entrance road that says Branch Mountain Cemetery, and also a sign at the exit for donations (Branch Mountain Cemetery). The cemetery surrounds the little church.

The other day, while I was taking pics, some people came in to set up for a funeral, and mow grass. A gentleman came over to me, after seeing me trying to brush off some of the growth on a tombstone and was telling me he heard that if you used bleach and something else it would clean the stones. I however told him, I was hesitant to do anything like that, I only used things that wouldn't hurt them...like my scrub brush, or a plastic scraper. We talked a little, and he told me the church had nothing to do with the cemetery, and they weren't supposed to mow as often because the funds were getting low.

As far as Branch Mountain U.M.C. Cemetery, it is within sight of this cemetery. I didn't even notice it last year while taking pics. I am assuming between Branch Mountain U.M.C. two little churches that are right here, that is why this area is called Three Churches. The other church is right across the road from the cemetery, with a historical marker out front (I don't remember it's name, but think it is also Mount Bethel something or other). The marker says it is the oldest church in Hampshire County. That subject also came up when I was speaking the the caretaker, and he said they now had another church that is disputing that fact.

Also, I do not know how to contact F.A.G. folks, so that they can change the name to: See Branch Mountain.

Hi Cindy, I have recently been taking pics at Branch Mountain Cemetery. I have been updating the info & pics, and suddenly I come across one that I added, because it wasn't there. Now stay with me, cause I am confused. You added it, but to Mount Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. I see you have been a F.A.G. member for a while now, I haven't. Maybe you could explain it to me. The sign over the entrace is Branch Mountain Cemetery, and yes the Mount Bethel Primitive Church sits among it. I was just speaking to the guy that cuts the grass the other day and he told me the church has nothing to do with the cemetery. Now I am wondering how many people I added to Branch Mountain that are already listed in Bethel Primitive.

I took pics at Branch Mountain U.M.C. Cemetery the other week and ran across names that were intermixed. I tried to contact a person to let them know they had the wrong cemetery, but they had no way to email them. So I made the mistake of adding a note where the virtual flowers go, then found I could let them know through the edit area. Needless to say, I was chewed out about leaving the note in the virtual flowers and quoted a bunch of F.A.G. rules only to later realize the person quoting the rules had added a lot of memorials using pics that I had taken for another website, by cropping them, it was easy to tell they were the pics I had taken.

Now that I have written a book for you to read, should I go back and delete all of the memorials I added to Branch Mountain, as who knows how many other cemeteries they are listed in.

Thanks
