|Krystle||J.G. Ludwig Rohlfing|
I transferred the memorial to you after making the changes. I love to see when family members "find" their relatives. Mr. Rohlfing is buried in a very nice cemetery; however, local lore says that St. Paul's Cemetery is where many people were buried so fast during a cholera epidemic that the graves were unmarked. To this day, there are still no markers there, maybe one or two. (You can see all the empty space behind the sign).
A football field away, on the "other side" of the cemetery is a sign for Friedens Cemetery. See this: http://findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pis&PIcrid=28803&PIpi=74999661&PIMode=cemetery. This is where Mr. Rohlfing is buried, quite near the sign. Find A Grave has it a little mixed up, but doesn't seem to want to fix it. I don't know what the church's position is on this. St. Paul's is the closest piece of land next to the church, and Friedens lies next to St. Paul's. Thank you for providing the parental links. I have added them to Mrs. Thrower's memorial. She shares a double marker with Archie Thrower. I added a couple of grave marker photos to the memorials. Shirley, are you a relative?

Thank you for the information. I have added one or two things but I do not add obituaries. If acceptable to you I would rather transfer management of the Memorial to you as it seems you have some connections with Mr. Baldwin?
Let me know.

|Michael Loader||Robert West, photo request|
Hi Shirley: My name is Michael Loader and I am a Find A Grave volunteer photographer. I just received a photo request through Find A Grave on Robert West 1858-1936 , husband of Ellen West 1867-1925. You are maintaining Ellen's site on Find A Grave and I assume you are a West family member.
This looks like an old private cemetery that is not well maintained. Do you know anything about the location or marking of these graves? My former neighbor Dennis Disney is a very active contributor and already advised that the site is only accessible through private property. Do you have a contact with the neighboring property owners of the Daniel Souter Cemetery? Anything that will help us fulfill this request for Ann Parkinson?

I have transfered ownership of the 5 requested graves. If there are any others that I have transcribed and you would like them (as long as it isn't in my family line) let me know and I'll transfer them over too.

I also have Williams in my line. They were from Louisiana, but I did find a Rolla & Matilda O'Quinn Williams in Columbus, GA during the 1830 Census. Rolla (later to be come Raleigh) was my 3 or 4th Great Grandfather.

I don't know anything more about Jack Winters, or of the Joyce family. I changed his memorial to read exactly what it says on his marker "Brother of John Winters", not "Brother of John William Winters". We were in touch last year and you mentioned that you had some Winters family contacts, maybe they know more than I do. Good luck in your search!

Hi, Shirley, I'm the granddaughter of Chester Hutchings. I remember Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob coming to visit my grandparents with their poodles! I have been trying to find things out about my family history with no luck until I came across this website. I want to thank you for the work you've done here, I now know whom my great grandparents were and what they looked like!

Thanks for that new info. Wow. This just to show all of us have interesting lives. I would be so curious to see what she had on that marker. It was one of those temporary F.H. markers and all that was left was that name Barquealew where I mistakenly thought was her last name. Thanks again for taking the time to share the info with me.
Have a nice day.

Thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate it and you explained it very well. Never in my life would I have thoight Barquealew was her name. Teaches me not to assume ever when it comes to names. Thanks so much for the information. I will add it now.

|J.A. & D.S.||RE: Barquealew Funeral Marker-Anclote Cem|
Thank you for the information. From your message if I understand correctly her first name was Bonita Barquealew. I assume her married name was Dicks. Is there any reason you think Thompkins is not the maiden name? I ask because if I know Thompkins is from a previous marriage, I might be able to find info to add the memorial.
