Good afternoon. I hope you had a good Easter. I am going to be in Fl this summer, in fact soon. We have been friends 10 years and never met in person. Hope we can say hi while I am there. I will be in St Augustine, and also in Orlando. I haven't looked at a map yet to see if it is near St Pete. Looking forward to hearing from you. xo

RE: Dear Lynne
Hi Louie, thanks so much for your kind note and concern about my son Aaron. Just have not had time to post anything as to his condition. He is doing better, getting infusions for low Iron. Still do not know if he has lymphoma or not. I hope the do something soon as it needs immediate attention if they suspect it. His back is never gonna be 100%, something he is going to have to learn to live with. He has a lot of pain and hurting all the time. HE is disabled now totally. But his Dr. said if in 5 years he is still this way he can not even attempt work. Hopefully it is not gonna put him that spot. HE has not been working a lot of years he is only 33 and well as you know disability does not pay much. I will try to keep better contact with Find A Grave on this. Thank you again for your concern it is so sweet of you. Lynne

Oh, listen sweetie! If money wasn't so tight and I had the dough, I would be your sugar daddy! That is, if you don't mind being kept by an older man!

I have my Dear Mama's bio on her page now. I am sorry I have been so long but it hurt so much to write it. It comes straight from my heart and I hope it gives you a somewhat clear picture of my Mama and you can feel close to her.
Thanks to all you wonderful friends for all you did for her and for me. She felt a part of FindAGrave and her family history that is recorded here.
I am trying to thank everyone personally for your flowers but it is hard to do with all the emotion that is involved. If I missed anyone please accept my BIG HUG and THANK YOU here and now. Please drop by often because I will be adding pictures and making changes as I heal.
Love to all and God Bless You. I will never get over losing my Mama.

RE: Hall of Fame For Mama's

My mother would have told you that "$5 was too much to spend" for a thing like that.

The next time she saw you, she would tell you thank-you, give you a bone snapping hug and hand you a plate of her world famous chicken and dumplin's.

If you feel a cool breeze or a warming around your chest today, it's her.

God bless you and your family.

RE: It was my pleasure and Honor
Hi Louis- I'm slow, I know, but I did want to get back with you and say that I had the chance to see Vi's memorial, and I agree, she sounds like Olivia. You were indeed lucky to know her and have her as part of your life.

I was glad to understand your Mom's battle better too. It's really sad, but it helps to understand. She was blessed to have you with her for that awful fight. I know what you mean about the heart attack vs pneumonia question. I have been doing a lot of reading on scleroderma lately and heart attacks are very common with it. If yo have scleroderma and get pulmonary hypertension it makes your heart work harder. In fact, pulmonary hypertension is the number one cause of death in people with scleroderma.

My mom is doing fair... her hip is actually not her biggest problem, though it's healing well and she can walk with her walker. Her scleroderma is the limited variety, which is making it hard for her to breathe due to pulmonary hypertension and fibrosis - it is part of what they call CREST syndrome. She also has a UTI she got from a catheter at the hospital 3 years ago. It's a resistant bug no antibiotic can kill so she's subject to bouts of bad pain. But, thankfully, she soldiers on, and we keep looking for answers.

In fact, I think I hear her now, making moves to go to the bathroom, which she can't do safely alone, so I'm going to sign off for now, and continue my promise to stop back when things calm down... we are moving in the next month :-( Please take good care of yourself, and keep checking in, and know you are well thought of, and that Ms. Livvie (my nickname for her) probably adores you. May God bless.

wow, what a lovely surprise...
There aren't fine enough words to express my thanks for your having sponsored my friend Olivia Mulligan. No doubt she's awed (and a little embarassed, as was her way) and I'm very glad her soul inspired you to do this kindness. I saw your note to Olivia mentioning her day of passing matched your mom's birthdate, and like you, I hope the ladies have become acquainted.

I feel compelled to tell you that I find it a bit odd that scleroderma played a role in your mom's life. I lost my paternal grandmother Fay Romberger to systemic scleroderma. Now my mom has the "limited" version of it, which still is lousy, as it is probably to blame for her chronic kidney failure and neuropathy (numbness) in both her feet, which makes balance a nightmare and probably led to her recent fall and hip break. We can only hope in the future medicine gets a better handle on diagnosing and treating this miserable disease.

Olivia was a special woman who knew the value of protecting other souls and I'm blessed you spotted that. Please know that normally I would visit and leave tokens for your dear ones, but presently I cannot. While at my mom's home I'm on dialup so slow that my scrapbook can't download, even after 5 minutes. It's my intent to come back and do so once we have moved into our new home in the coming weeks and have a better connection. For now, I have added you to my friend list and your dear mom to the folks I visit with regularity. Again, many thanks to you, and please accept my profound thanks and gratitude.
