RE: Bowles
Thanks Bob,

Yes - I would be very interested in that file of Bowles information. Please email to;

My ancestor was Mourning Bowles. After David's death, she moved to MO with mother Elizabeth and children. In early 1830s Mourning moved to Adams Co IL and was in a church founded by her uncle Jessie Bowles.

So - David and Elizabeth Bowles would be my 4th gr grandparents.

Hi Bob,
Did you ever find more info about David Bowles 1776 - 1823 or his wife Elizabeth 1774 - ? (after 1850)?

Check out
Hills Ferry Cemetery
Stanislaus County,
California, USA
His sons Robert (Find A Grave Memorial# 39130011)
and James T. Bowles (Find A Grave Memorial# 39130010)
are laid to rest there. Perhaps he's there, too.

McPike Cemetery
Hi Bob,
Is there a chance that I could get you to contact Find a Grave and get them to change the name of this cemetery.
We have it listed in Marion Co. cemtery database as Guillon/McPike and would be nice to have it on Find A Grave as the same name.
Could even live with McPike/Guillon.
Oh, I took a pic of Mary Jane's tombstone yesterday. Could this be a persuader.
Will post it on McPike for now.
Also have Guillon and Scott photos.

RE: Photo request
Augusta , Illinois (Adele Burch Davis).

Thanks Bob. I wish I could be more accurate in giving you a plot number. If its any help she used to reside at 206 Orchard Street. I suspect the house is abandoned and falling apart.
In any event she was buried from the Hamilton Funeral Home in town.

My wife and I used to go out there once a year to visit the father in law but he left there in 2001 and had lived with us in CT from 2007 until his death this past November.

Once again thanks so much for your help on this.

Photo request
Hey Bob,

Any chance you can go to Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, IL and fulfill my request for my mother-in-law's stone, Adele Burch Davis? Are you near there? Her stone is a flat, flush to the ground marker.

Thanks in advance.

Flatfoot Billy
