Patrick Woodard
Woodard - Bankers Cem., Hillsdale County, MI

I would like the Woodards at Bankers Cem transferred to my care. The patriarch of all the Woodards here,Smith Alson,is my Great Grandfather. I have extensively researched the family and have detailed records for all of them. Will get photos of those I have not so far gotten. I also would like to activate the family connections feature for them as well. Thank you for your help.

I went to cemetery office. They do have record of all 3 burials, HOWEVER, NO LOCATION WHERE THEY WERE BURIED. Staff about 20 years ago went up and down each section writing down tombstone names and no Senters among other names. Sorry they have no other information. They are interred here, but don't know where.

Go ahead and repost the request for tombstone photos. I'll take it to the cemetery office and see what they can come up with.

Cemetery records for Lewis J. states he was interred APril 16, 1900. . No blok , lot or grave # given. For Sarah statement: No block or lot nuber in bujrial record, nor any info, just the word "Senter." For Willard just the death date and info on Find A Grave listing. This is all from 1991 printing of record transcription. I will check with the office.

RE: Nina Reynolds Lewis Carter
Hi - That's very helpful. I have that John Reynolds was b. 3 Jan. 1814 NY and d. 20 Apr. 1891 in Batavia Twp., Branch Co., MI, according to the Branch Co., MI death records, then there's the notice in "The Courier" for Colewater, Branch Co., MI on 25 April 1891 that John "died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Hawley," so we know that Jennie was a dau. and you know somehow that Nina was John's dau., too. I didn't have who John married. My great great grandfather was John's brother David F. Reynolds, who's bur. in the Schuyler Cemetery, Colfax Co., NE. Their father was the John Reynolds b. about 1785 NY who d. 2 Nov. 1862 in Wolcott, Wayne Co., NY, according to the 1863 petition by David F. Reynolds to be executor of his father's will. The Glenside-Leavenworth Cemetery records has John Reynolds the father bur. there in Wolcott, Wayne Co., NY. I have a memorial page for John in NY and tried to get a photo of his marker, but there aren't any volunteers nearby and few markers remain in the cemetery, according to a volunteer who tried several years ago with 7 photo requests and couldn't find a marker for any of them. He won't go again unless I can verify somehow that John's marker is still there. Sharon in WA state.

I think you have asked me this question before. Here is the link to the cemetery index for this cemetery. http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/nemaha/cemeteries/fairview-goff.txt
As we all know, errors are found in the best of records.

RE: Earl and Cleo Redmond
Jan,

I emailed Dennis (we've been friends since grade school). He and his brother Bob both think they are buried in the Bronson Cemetery which is near the high school. Their maternal grandparents are there and they think Earl and Cleo are as well. You should be able to contact the Bronson city clerk and verify it. It was not a big deal to check this out for you - my parents, youngest brother and son are all at the Matteson cemetery and I go down there quite often throughout the year to change out flowers. Good luck finding them! Shirley

Earl and Cleo Redmond
i was at the cemetery yesterday and found the Plot Earl owns. There are no markers on it other than the two for the Lewis couple. There are Lewis's buried next to them in the ajoining plot as well. I grew up in Bronson and my family is buried in this cemetery. Do you have any information on their children or grandchildren as I know a Redmond family from Bronson, Bruce (deceased)and Alice. I went to school with their son Dennis and was wondering if they are related.

Earl and Cleo Redmond
I finally got in touch with the Matteson Twp clerk. She said that Earl Redmond is listed as the owner of Lot #320 (six grave sites) in the Matteson Twp. cemetery and that it shows him buried in Gr.#1, but she's not sure if he actually was buried there or if that was just his intent when he purchased the lot. There is no record of Cleo being buried in Lot #320 or anywhere else in the cemetery. Gr. #2,3, and 4 are empty and Frank and Amy Lewis are buried in Gr. #5 and 6. I'll be down there in the next week and will check to see if there is a headstone for Earl on that lot (she gave me information on the approx. location, so I should be able to find it okay). I'll let you know and will post the headstone if one's there. Shirley

DAVID SLOAT GRAVE IN L.I.N.C.
Hi,
I got the picture you requested for David Sloat in L.I.N.C. I noticed the dates after I had posted the picture. This is obviously not the David Sloat you had in mind. Long Island National was established in 1936. Sorry.
Have a good one...
Glenn

RE: Ellsworth Rutter
I'm not disagreeing that he went by Ellsworth, I just think the supporting material shows that it is Samuel Ellsworth and not Ellsworth Samuel.

His tombstone shows S Ellsworth. His obit shows Samuel Ellsworth.

I'm just requesting that you reverse the names on his record since you have him as Ellsworth Samuel and all his supporting data shows it as Samuel Ellsworth.

Thanks, Donna

Yes, and I haven't forgotten that at some point I hope to find the box that has my photo of Almina Ries and her (probably second husband) John Rees/Ries.

I have tried to sponsor all my direct line ancestors and am working on my husband's side, now. Trying to do a little every month or so when a few coins to spend are available.
