Medell
So after I sent the first email I went to the Medell/Muddle site and looked at your email address. I didn't realize you had it on find a grave until after I emailed my message. So you must be Beth!

I'd be more than happy to mail you a cd of the photos that I emailed Nancy. It completly pains me to have these photos and not know who they are!

I told Nancy I feel there are Gorbets in there just from the features.

I know for sure there are Medell's. One thing that is similar in a hand full of the photos are the dark round eyes in some of the girls and ladies. Just like the eyes of Eli Medell who is a brother to my Caroline and your Thomas.

Thanks again!
Cindy

RE: Medell
Hi there,

Are you by chance Beth Johnson that is related to Nancy Taylor? Is your name listed as a contact on the Medell/Muddle website online with so much family history for Medell's and some Gorbets?

Yes, still trying to put pieces together! Have I mentioned that I have a box full of photos that belonged to my gg grand mother? She was the daughter of George Washington Gorbet and Caroline Medell. (Nettie Lucy)She lived in Rienzi MS and my Dad remembers her. She and her husband Edwin Henry Stubblefield are buried there. I have photos of her also.

I know for sure that two of the photo's I have are Emily Medell. One I'm just sure is Samuel Medell son of William Medell.

I also have a photo of Mary Lewis Medell McDougall!!! If you don't have one I'd be happy to share it with you! It said M L McDougall on the back of the photo with a street address and it was taken in Ottawa IL. I didn't know enough to know that she was a Medell when I sent the photo's to Nancy to look at.

If your interested in the photo of Mary do you mind emailing me direct? So happy to hear from you!

Medell
Are you related to Mary Lewis Medell that you made the page for?

I know she married John McDougall and wondered why her married name doesn't show.

I have a very old photo of her along with a box full of photos that belonged to my gg grandmother, Nettie Lucy Gorbet Cotton Stubblefield. (long name I know)

Nettie is the 1st cousion to Mary.

Thank you,
Cindy

RE: DALTON & HUNTSMAN
My new son in law's grandmother, is still living in Texas, and her grandfather is Ernest Emer Dalton (1889-1918), son of Daniel.
She thought ALL of her family lineage records were lost, and was VERY emotional at Thanksgiving, when my son in law asked her about the family tree information.
He wanted me to document the tree for him, and Alice thought it was all lost.
I found your photos within 20 minutes on Find A Grave, and was able to re-assure her that it was all "out there", and that all I needed to do was document what other's have already documented. I basically have been using the Find A Grave information, then I've been proving it all with census records, etc.
I'm copying the data, but trying to prove it somehow, so I don't just blindly "lemming", and give her false information.
Thank you, again! This will make a "little old woman" very happy to see these photos! I want to make a book for her, as a surprise.
Mary

Thank you VERY much!
Would it be OK to use the other family photos of the Daltons and the Huntsmans?

Again, thank you very much!

Daniel Dalton #14472786
Hello.
May I use your photo of Daniel in my online public tree at Ancestry.com? We always tag them with: "Photo courtesy of...".

If not, may I use it in a book I'm making for Daniels gr granddaughter, who still lives in Texas?

Thank you,
Mary Van Dyke
