| RE: Brushbeater Always pleased to help out. I've got a bunch more of your requests on my radar for when time permits so keep an eye out. And, if you think you might have other requests for some of the same cemeteries try to get those posted please so I can consolidate your requests without multiple trips to the same cemetery. Thanks Taylor!
Best,

| Your son-in-law Taylor,
I would love to exchange information with your son in law. I had a very hard time with this Alabama bunch after they moved from Houston County Georgia. When I asked one lady if she knew where Mary M. Price Young was buried she would not say because she thought I was writing a book. For crying out loud Mary is one of my grandmothers. Mary M. was the mother of Susan Cassie Young Merritt and my grandmother Emma Jane Young Glover. Emma had a son George who married the daughter of Cassie, Lizzie. I can't find anything on the siblings of Cassie and Emma. They are: Nancy b. 1843, William b. 1844, Elizabeth b. abt 1845, Sarah b. 1846, Arthur b. 1848, Martha b. 1849 (my grandfather said Mattie married a Wolfe), Phereba b. 1851, Millie b. 1852, Amelia b. 1853, James b. 1854, John b. 1855, Susan Cassie b 20 aug 1855, Emma Jane abt b. 1859, Mary E. b. 24 sep 1859, Davis Young b. 1862
My grandfather was born 1881 in Barbour Co., AL and knew these people that were still living and I have his oral history. He talked a lot about Cassie, Mattie and Davis Young. I was just starting my research and really did not ask what I should have asked. He died in 1979 and had full recall of people, places and events.
Thanks for the help. MargieAdded by Margie Daniels on May 26, 2013 4:24 PM

| Glover Merritt Dear Taylor,
I noticed you are maintaining the memorials for my Merritt and Glover family in and around Geneva/Houston County Alabam. Are you related?
Thanks for adding Hugh Samuel Glover's obit.

| RE: Elitha Ann Sorry my message was not clear - just looking for any additional info on Elitha. I'm a member of Ancestry.com and haven't had any luck finding much documentation on her - just now realizing I was spelling her name wrong. My user name on Ancestry is kudzususan. I will look for your tree and see if I can glean anything there. Thanks again!Added by kudzususan on Mar 19, 2013 12:49 PM | |

| Zion Rock Cemetery help This is a link to the entry for Ephriam Prescott Lassiter and his wife Jemina (or Jemima.) http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=lassiter&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=3&GScnty=45&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=22463794&df=all& Convoluted story, so hang on! Their son Ephriam F. is my Great Grandfather. His second wife was named Eleithan - and I think her maiden name was Tanner. At the time of her death, I have been told that Ephriam F was living and preaching at a church somewhere very close to this cemetery and she was buried there at Zion Rock near his parents. I don't find an entry when I look at the list of all internments at zion Rock, but am wondering if maybe they're not all listed? Just wondering if you have and suggestions short of making the trip out there myself. I appreciate so much all the work you've done here and am grateful for any help you'd care to offer. | RE: Andrea Hello,
The grave says Joe S. April 3, 1984 - November 29, 1984. It says on grave stone "Together Forever". It must be his. I'll take a picture of it.
God bless, AndreaAdded by Andrea Jo Brown (Doshan) on Mar 13, 2013 1:48 PM
