Charles Franklin Ballard

Thank you for the prompt link for Uncle Charlie to his parents.

And bravo for adding the biographical note from his father's memorial - use more if you wish.

Charlie looks like photo of his brother, Eli Washington "Watt" Ballard, my great grandfather. I will share it when I find whatever old album it is hiding in and get it scanned.

RE: Wilkinsons at Harrison Methodist Church
I had another thought after I sent my reply to your message. Would you like for me to add my pictures to your pages for the Wilkinsons?

RE: Wilkinsons at Harrison Methodist Church
It was a pleasure to receive your message. I am always happy to hear that my work has helped someone with their research. I have checked the Harrison cemetery inventory completed earlier this year and did not find any other Wilkinsons. In 1984, Harrison's sanctuary and offices were completely destroyed by fire. We lost many records at that time. As a result, we have had to depend on a visual inventory for most of the cemetery information we have.

You might want to contact the Carolina Room at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library in Charlotte. The Carolina Room specializes in the history of this area and may be able to provide assistance with your research.

Maud Helms married Richard Scarlett and are my great grandparents. How exciting to find your documentation and pictures. The Scarlett cousins were just together this past weekend and Sidney Wayne Scarlett was telling me story about the mattress. How fun to then see the pictures.

Thank you!

William S. Yohe
Hello,

Do you remember where you found the information used in William S. Yohe's listing? Some of the information about when he arrived in Kansas contradicts other sources I've found. (e.g., http://my.spinsite.com/CHURCHHISTORY/index/Church_History_(2006-2011, and http://goo.gl/SwZAcY.)

Thanks!
Tara

Mary Fisher Starnes
Mary Fisher Starnes, according to my family's history, was the daughter of Charles Fisher & his wife Barbara. She was the baby of the family & the only girl. Her siblings were John Fisher b. 1756, Frederick Fisher b. 1762, Paul Fisher b. 1764 (my direct ancestor), William Fisher b. 1765. Hope this helps someone, Nita Fisher Hudson

Susannah McGee Mendenhall

John,

I can't be sure of her birthdate at this time since it was so long ago that I was at the cemetery and that I took the picture. And since the picture isn't too clear from here----all I can see of that date is that it "looks" like 1760 for the year. But unless I saw the tombstone close up again---I'm not 100% sure what it says.

You know I'll be happy to transfer Susannah and any of her (and your) relatives to you if you would like. Just let me know who you would like to have.

Arthur Gaston Caldwell
I found his burial in a list of US veterans. i do not have any personal knowledge of him. Try doing a photo request but first call the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 and request the section and lot numbers. Let me know and I will add it to the memorial. There are a couple of willing photo volunteers for that cemetery. Put a note on the request asking if his wife is buried with him.

My great grandfather Patrick Donohue immigrated from County Galway along with my grandfather in 1909. For some reason my grandfather changed the spelling to Donahue. As far as I know all of my Donohue's are still in the Philadelphia/South New Jersey area.
