RE: Duplicate Memorial and using my picture
You said "It might be a duplicate, but mine has all the family information on it for anyone researching him, and yours has basically nothing. He's my great grandfather and I've worked on my family and him for over 35 years."

Proper Find A Grave etiquette is to request a transfer of the earlier memorial to you. You would not delete the original memorial ... which you would then modify as you desire.

Please read the FAQ ...

"Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information."

Duplicate Memorial and using my picture

This memorial is a duplicate of one created before

Also, you have used a copy of a picture that I had taken. I have to assume you had my permission to do that.

Alice Johnson Rinard
Sherry, Do you have any additional information on Alice's parents, Samuel Johnson and Rhoda Moore (birth/death/burial location, etc)? I am a Moore family researcher and curious to know what happened to Rhoda who apparently died around the time son John Johnson was born (ca 1854/1855). Am also curious if you would care to share your family line of Elizabeth Johnson and Oliver Harris (married 31 Mar 1906 in Henry County, IN)? I have had little success tracing this family - Elizabeth apparently went by the name Lizzie but that was no help either. Thank you, and the memorial has been transferred to you. Ted Crayne.

RE: William Pollard and Tom Steele
Tom Steele's stone looked like was more of a rock, and not broken. It was around several Pollards.

RE: Joel C Muterspaugh
You're welcome. I live in Pa. and was on my way to Oklahoma so stopped there for a quick (unsuccessful) look for one of my own relatives. Really sad how much vandalism has taken place at that cemetery.

RE: Haven't received it PK
Will try again - suspect the photo may have been too large.
I copied and pasted your address, so that shouldn't be the cause.

RE: OOps That was thank you for photos
Hi Sherry,

You are so very welcome. Unfortunately, the markers for all three are very weathered. Jane and Lydia's are barely legible and John's isn't legible at all. It amazes me when we find older stones that have survived the elements and are still very legible. That is not the case with these markers.

Edward Muterspaugh at Hess Cemetery
I live near this cemetery and stopped by there today to try to photograph the headstone you requested. There are 4 Muterspaugh headstones in a row. Beside these 4,there are 2 stones that are so faded I was not able to figure out any kind of name or date on them. I thought they might be the 2 Muterspaugh's that are not yet photographed, but no way for me to tell for sure.

Unfortunately I was unable to find any reference as to what the G stands for in his name. I'll be sure to let you know if I ever do. Thanks for making the correction on his wife's name - I appreciate it! Best regards, Dianne

RE: Eva Venable
Yes ... it is (1983)

The photo I have is a close-up shot ... like the one I posted for Otha.

That crepe myrtle really got in the way of getting a clear shot of the whole markers. The lady who did the first pix struggled with it too ... wound up with pictures of her feet.
