|Kendall Mellem||Chrisman Cemetery|
Hello Connie! I see that you now manage the memorials that Mike Wren created in Chrisman Cemetery. (I imagine Mike must have "created" this cemetery on Find A Grave.) There is no address or GPS map for the cemetery, so I'm wondering whether or not you know where it is located. If so, would you post that information on the cemetery page, please? (I had been going to ask Mike Wren to do that but see the message that he has, sadly, passed away.) There are some photo requests for this cemetery that I'd be really happy to fulfill, but I can't figure out where it is.
Thank you so much!!

There are too many with that name. I suggest you call New Tacoma. Or leave it as is, and the photo volunteers now working in that cemetery will eventually catch it.

|Sally Scheer||RE: Mary Katherine Knisely Pearson|
Guess what I just found on newspapers.com?? Mary Pearson died in 1886 NOT 1884. She died of consumption (which could be any number of diseases in the modern lexicon but normally turns out to be tuberculosis. Her death date in the Hicksville News (Ohio) says Mary Pearson, wife of Albert Pearson left THREE young children behind. I only have TWO in my tree, Celia and Della. Wonder what happened to the other one?
Sooo, the Mary C Pearson with birth date of 1859 and death date of 1886 is very very likely Mary Katherine (Catherine) Knisely Pearson. It's likely enough that I'll make the change to my Ancestry tree for her and go looking for the third child. If you give me your direct email address, I can send you an invitation to my family tree on Ancestry and a pdf file of Mary Pearson's death announcement from the paper. And anything else I find on the family if you like.

I'll see what I can find for hints as to her burial place. Scipio is a likely place, though. There's a living relative in Kansas that may have some idea of where she is buried. However, her memory is sometimes not completely reliable. I've found documentation disproving a few things she told us.

|William Smith||Eliza Ann Bose Photo|
Hi there Connie,
I had some time to tromp around the old Bolivar Cemetery today and was able to secure a few gravestone pictures of George Himes and Eliza Ann Bose... Eliza is not buried directly beside George as some sources indicate... So the photos of the gravestone that is completely weathered that I thought could be hers, is not... (That stone is now broken off the base and broken in half...) Fortunately Eliza's stone was/is in much better shape...

You're welcome. Thanks for posting it. I try to center around 1880-1910 because of the missing census for that time. No other sources for some of information. Everyone comes across something different. Thanks for your work as well.

|William Smith||Eliza Ann Himes Bose|
I declined two of the three edits that you suggested for Eliza Ann, place of birthdeath and first name... I did link her up to Catherine M. Himes as her mother as most evidence suggest that George and Catherine are her parents... On both the 1850 and 1860 census Eliza (in the household of Samuel Bose) gave Ohio as her place of birth and not Pennsylvania... George and Catherine were married in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio in 1814... In 1820, 1830, 1840 and 1850 George was enumerated in Lawrence Township, Tuscarawas... If indeed Eliza is their daughter she was most likely born in Lawrence Township... There is no evidence what so ever that she lived in Defiance County and she most likely died is Franklin Township, Tuscarawas where her and Samuel lived...
While I am not doubting that her first name may have been Elizabeth not a single document that I have for her gives her name as such and they all list her as Eliza... In 1850 George and Catherine had a female aged 15 living with them named Elizabeth and this is not "Eliza"... So Eliza will stay...
The photo that you posted for Eliza Ann Himes Bose to her memorial is a photo that I took... (Thank You!!!) It is not of Eliza Ann... It is Samuel Bose and his first wife Elizabeth Sarah Young Bose... If you would be so kind as delete my photo that you posted from her memorial... I am fairly certain that I have a photo of Eliza Ann Bose's gravestone but I didn't post it as it is completely weathered and no longer legible at all, so I'm not %100 sure at this time... If I conclude that it is of her or obtain one that is, I will post it to her memorial so you can added it your database...
