RE: Parkers
It is believed William Parker is the brother of Dempsey Parker. I am a direct ancestor of Dempsey Parker. I have picked up a lot of your pictures giving you the credit and appreciate ALL of your work! I, too like you want what is posted to be correct. Let me know exactly what changes and/or additions and/or deletions I have made and I will check my research on as well as get back to you. I have researched many times down in TN within Sumner, Trousdale, Smith, and Macon Counties and have never been to the Parker Family Cemetery in Bethpage, Sumner, TN but am sure I was close to it. My cousin/I found the Barr Cemetery out there where Dempsey Parker's daughter-in-law was buried. It was a most difficult over grown not kept cemetery to find but with the help of the Sumner County Archives pointing us in the right direction we found it. I was able to take pictures of the entire cemetery whose stones were readable and post them onto Find A Grave. Mrs. James Gilbert Parker was the only Parker found in that cemetery. Also, none of maiden name family members were not there either. Now I am wondering why she was not buried in the Parker Family Cemetery???

Thomas Kerley
Thomas is my great great great uncle. The family story is that he was living with his daughter Laura at the time of his death and according family, "He is buried in the same place where Laura is" I have included on his memorial that he is "believed" to be buried here.

RE: Walter Coles Carrington Cem..
D. I just received the directions to the site and have put them in the cemetery description. My cousin said this is the best route as she remembers it. If you go that way would you please let me know if the directions are sufficient for you to find the stone? If you have a better description let me know. I shall most likely be in Mecklenburg this coming June and will go for a look myself.

Sarah Jane Meador Freeman
Thank you for connecting Sarah Jane to her husband. Yes I was aware of what the death certificate said concerning her father. She was the daughter of John Hayden Meador instead of Freeman and Cynthia J. Driver. She was apparently an only child and her parents both died between 1850 and 1860. Thanks again.

Joseph Edward Hunt
There is a mistake in the siblings for Joseph Edward Hunt that needs to be corrected. My gg-grandfather, Joseph Edward Hunt married Emma Jane Fuqua and they had two children "Saleta Mai Hunt" and "Joseph Elliott Hunt".

The two other children John Thomas Hunt (1863-1929) and Lula Bell Hunt Holsapple (1878 - 1952) are incorrect. Please remove them from his memorial and the others this incorrect information is attached to.

Joseph Edward Hunt did marry before Emma. His first marriage was to Elmire "Ally" Zuck. They had one child Asa Staley Hunt (my great grandfather). Joseph Edward Hunt's first wife "Ally" died. Joseph Edward Hunt married 2nd to Emma Fuqua.

Thank you so much for your assistance.

Thanks for the corrections. I try to be correct and complete (except for the place of birth and death, which I only do if it's significant - or someone asks for it), but as you can tell, I don't always succeed. I'm glad I have fellow voluteers like you to help me along.

Gail Fisher Walker
Pomeroy/McPherson Families
Thanks for the correct information regarding the burial locations for these families and straightening me out on "Nolensville Road Baptist Church Cemetery."
"Again, this is just a mistaken cemetery listing, as there is no cemetery at the Tusculum Hills Baptist Church."
Name changes for cemeteries can make things very confusing sometimes!
