|Sheri West||RE: Porters|
I wasn't related and you seemed to know a lot about them so I thought I would transfer. Good luck!

Dear Evelyn, yes! I would love to have the Warner memorials ... I collaborate with some of their descendants, and could then link them into the Ludwigs, etc.
Thank you, Dave Edmonds

What I hate is the ones covered with lichens and you know the information is legible if they weren't there. It appears to me that shade is the enemy of markers. I did a lot of indexing for Family search and learned real fast don't guess. I wish Find a Grave would have an area, for a Cemetery, to down load unreadable or partially unreadable to let People know that what they are looking for could be there but not readable.

Found my original Picture and blew it up until they could see it in New York still couldn't read anything. Removed reference to Wife from note and only left "Given Name unreadable". I thought maybe Name was Valintine or something like that but Maker was just to worn.

Thank you so very much for the excellent photos of Aleph Goff's headstone. He was my great-great grand uncle.

|Timothy Rawson||RE: Charles Ralph Vestal|
I am descended from Henry "Harry" Rawson and his spouse Sarah Elsie (Canfield) Rawson of Lucas, Iowa. His two sisters, Ann Elizabeth Rawson and Hannah Rawson married two brothers by the last name of Plows, William Plows and Walter Herbert Plows. You can pass this bit of info onto the person you are contacting.

In your Find A Grave Memorial 52721135, you mentioned that he had a daughter Frances L. Vestal, 1921-1986. Do you know anything more about his daughter, exact date and place of death or if she married? I am a cousin of Rhoda Frances Haley-Plows Vestal's son Charles Plows and am trying to find out about him.

|Mary West Daniels||adding family relationships|
Hi Evelyn, my name is Mary West Daniels and I see that you have posted graves of my family members. Thank you for taking an interest in remembering our loved ones. I have some family information that I have tried to add to some of their pages but have had no luck. Would you be so kind as to contact me so I can add family connections?

Thanks for the Obit Evelyn, I do appreciate your extra effort!
You are in it for much more than just making the numbers add up like some. Thanks again!

My aunt has a record that states differently but she said that it's not worth fighting for it since the other Find A Grave lady won't respond to my asking how she is kin.....Sharon will get her own account and then request it through Find A Grave. So sad that people are not sharing up there as here in Texas we work it out!

This is my great uncle, so if there is a headstone/stone for him in Pleasant View, that would be great. I'm working on the family tree for a reunion next year and this would be a nice addition. Thanks for all your help. Carole

|Shannon D.||RE: Thomas Douglas|
I stopped by Fairview on my way out of town today and did not find his name in the directory there either. There was one Nichols, but it was Robert Wayne Nichols. I am at a loss as to where he could be.

|Shannon D.||RE: Doug Nichols again|
I just went back to his memorial and read it. It says "Interment was made in the Albaton Cemetery." I believe he is buried in the Albaton cemetery which is called Fairview Cemetery and is in Monona County instead of Woodbury County. I was just there today because that is the cemetery where my family is buried. It is only a few miles from the Sloan cemetery. I can stop by and look at the directory later this week. As far as I know, Fairview is the only cemetery in Albaton.

|Shannon D.||RE: Thomas Douglas Nichols|
I don't think he is buried here because he isn't in the directory. I wonder if he is in one of the other small cemeteries in the area? I did also look under last name "Douglas" just in case there was an error in the records. But there was nothing under that either.
