|Jackie Saulmon Ramirez||RE: William Geffroy #44113956|
It had been so long that I wasn't sure who you were talking about, then I saw the photo and remembered which one instantly. William V. Geffroy's stone is just beautiful, so austere that it commands your attention. I love it! He may not be famous but the stone is in my opinion. Have you ever seen one like it? I doubt it. Imagine what it looked like brand new! That's why I sponsored Geoffrey-- so we could keep more photos up on the memorial. (I have done that only for a few other stones like this one for John Saltar #9476705 that took my breath away. Salter's stone is very small but was made by a popular stone carver of the time, William Valentine, I think.)
William V. Geffroy is not related to me but I would like to add more information from Ancestry if it can be found. If you transferred Geffroy I could add a little more information for him so we could know more about him and his family THEN if you want, I could transfer the memorial back to you. I just thought the stone was so beautiful that it would be nice to give folks online more history rather than just the military service.
Do you use any photo editing software? I was wondering if you could crop your photo to take out your toes? My daughter had several toe shots too.
Are you from this area? I love it too, I'm from Morganton, NC and spent summers on Cedar Island but have lived the last 30 years in New Jersey. We're planning to get back to NC when we retire.
The Old Burying Ground is one very special cemetery; I wish I was near there to catalog every stone! I think it's wonderful that the Historical Society has taken the cemetery under its wing to both shelter and show it off.
I'm rambling on... Take care of yourself and perhaps we'll rub elbows some day. :^)

|Patti Boyd||RE: Muck family|
I am so sorry it took me so long to respond back to you. I just came across your message, my email was so full I was going through deleting emails and came across it.
The furthest back I have been able to trace my Muck ancestry is Aaron Muck born 1822 in Washington Co., MD. I know that the family came from Germany but have never been able to trace it back that far. I hit a brick wall at Aaron and cannot find any parents or family other than a sister named Sarah Muck that married a Watson in Knox Co., OH.
I hope you have been able to find out more on your family line and if you haven't, wish you the best of luck. It is so hard and I've practically given up. I've searched for more than 20 years and just can't find anything.
If you ever find a connection to my Aaron Muck please let me know and we can share our info.
Thanks for contacting me! Patti Boyd

It was so good to hear from you again!! I did my basic at Ft. Jackson too and then went down to Ft. Gordon for AIT--then off to Germany. Thomas is going into the MP's so he gets to do ALL his training right there at Ft.LW. We will be heading out there to celebrate his graduation...haven't heard when that will be just yet though!!
I'll look for you on FB!! I am not on FindaGrave much anymore.

I am truly sorry to have opened this subject with you. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. I must have just woken up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday. You certainly have every right to support the perpetrators as much as I have the right to support their victims. Please know that my apology is sincere and I will not bother you with any of this again. Good luck to you.

You are absolutely correct. I did misunderstand. Now I see that each and every one of the people that you have listed in your executed file were horrible people. Your benevolent tendencies couldn't possibly be used to better the lives of people that haven't brutalized and murdered innocent people?

How can you place a hero like Mario Centobi in with all that trash heap in your Executed cemetery? Don't you think that if you are going to play politics you could do that on your own rather than to impose the costs on others?
