Hi, I was looking at the bio you posted, and noticed your name - are you related? Mary Ann Nixon Dixon is my great-great grandmother, and I've been trying to sort out a tangled mess of Nixons I have in my family tree! Thanks for the information, it's nice to have those added touches!

RE: Junita & Sidney nixon
Juanita's death date was October 9, 1946. Sidney died March 10, 1968. The photo was taken before Sidney died. As soon as the weather improves, I will try to get to the Old Coeburn Cemetery and get some updated photos. Sidney was my step grandfather. He married Lizzie Akers Gilley May 24, 1950, in Clintwood, Virginia. They were married about 3 weeks before I was born. Lizzie is buried in the Wise Cemetery, Wise, VA - Find A Grave Memorial# 89013167.

Thanks for finding this, I searched twice there, but both times, I was pressed for time & never saw it. The young boy is Allen Eugene Bailey, if you want to add that to his memorial. Thanks again!

I was wondering whether Thomas Day was also a son of George and Resenia Denton Day? There are so many of their children buried in Hopewell Cemetery but Thomas Day is not described as their son. Thank you for your help. Carol Bruner (
