|Diana Berkel||RE: Missouri Hanson - Skaggs Cemetery|
Hi Ruth, Please check to see that I have made the correction properly. How did you find her? Could she have been married to a Hanson? Just let me know if it is OK.
Thanks for the info. Diana

Nellie and Andrew Kessler were my grandmother's aunt and uncle. Her father was Christopher Kessler, Andrew's brother. I have a number of pictures of Andrew and Nellie and their kids. Would you like copies?
It looks like they are buried in the Freeman Cemetary. She is buried in Taff Cemetary in Cook Station. I can't find Christopher on find-a-grave but I believe him and Josephine are buried in Illinois somewhere. My grandmother's (Blanche Kessler)mother was Dollie (nickname)Cassidy and she is supposed to be buried in Keysville cemetary but I can't find her marker. She was married to Chris and had 3 kids, died when she was giving birth to my grandmother and then he married Josephine and had 4 more kids.

|Rebecca Albrecht||Hortons of Jackson County, Ohio|
Hello dear new cousin...lol...I am happy to meet another Horton researcher!! I have been researching the Hortons since 1998 and have traveled to the Horton Cemetery in Jackson County many times. My most recent trip was shocking to me!! I hated to see how many gravestones that were intact and visible on my first visit there in 1998 are now gone or broken...makes me very sad!!
My mother was Janet Horton dauther of William Newell Horton, granddaughter of Oscar Ray Horton, great grandaughter of Ripley Horton, great great grandaughter of James Horton, great great great grandaughter of John Horton and great great great grandaughter of Joseph Horton.
I have done extensive research on our Hortons and would share any info or pics that I can with you. I do have some pics that I will scan and send to you if you are interested. Please email me and let me know.

|wplove||Missouri Huitt & William L. Mason|
William L. Mason is my Great Grand Uncle. I have a letter written on Jan. 31, 1910 which was sent to my Grandmother, Lula Bertha Mason Dace from her father, Jesse Greene Mason, Jr. which writes about William L. Mason, the oldest son, dying with "conjestive chill". My mother Opal Elnora Dace had worked on the genealogy and she shows that Martillus had a sister named Isabelle Mason. The census of 1880 shows Martillus & Isabelle as grandchildren to Geroge & Sarah Jane.
It shows Martillus as (Male) but then list him as a granddaughter and it shows Isabelle as (female) and lists her as granddaughter. Mistakes have been made on this record. Mainly, Martillus is a grandson!

|Virgil & DeAnna C. Cooley||Dora Jane Rogers Graves|
Ruth, I was checking some old records this evening and came upon Dora Jane Rogers Graves (Knob Creek Cemetery) that my husband or I had entered in Find A Grave a few years ago. I corrected our error and then saw your floral tribute where you had added a photo and put the correct dates. Thank you so very much. I also see a grandson apparently had asked you to update the record. I also left him a message that I will be happy to transfer these records to him. Thank you again. DeAnna Cooley

Ruth Ann; Thanks for the rich source of information on the Brickeys. I am descended from Eula Belle Brickey, who was the daughter of John Monteray and Virginia (Anderson) Brickey. My Brickey progenitors stayed behind in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, in Craigs County. I am attempting to assemble as large a list of Brickey descendants as I can. Your "Find a Grave" entries were most helpful. It is refreshing to find those who are willing to freely share what they have researched over the years. Bernie Radford, email@example.com

Hi. I am confused & hope you can help. I see a Sligo Cemetery in Keysville, Crawford Cty, MO & one in Sligo, Dent Cty, MO. Are these the same?
I have an uncle that I am trying to find. The name is Malcolm Leslie Wilgus. He died as an infant on 3-11-1912 & buried on 3-14-1912. His death cert. says the undertaker was Sligo Furnace Co., Sligo, MO. Do you know if there are other graves in this cemetery or a contact for the records? It is quite possible that his grave is unmarked.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as I am in Ariz!

|judetennessee||Amy Charlotte Hembree|
Amy is my great grandmother thru Ida Ellen Abbott who is my grandmother. Amy was married to John Wiley Abbott (1863-1925). She passed in 1957 and is buried at the Brickey family cemetery in Blount county as her mother was a Brickey.
I have had some luck in tracing the Hembree family back to a Huguenot named Henry d'Emberie who arrived in Virginia in 1635 as an indentured servant. Henry was born in Devon England c. 1615, his father was born in France but fled to England when the Huguenot persecution began. The Brickey were also descended from French Huguenots. The first Brickey in North America was Jean Bricou (John Brickey) born in Artois, France and arrived here in 1685. It amazes me how they all ended up in East Tennessee.

|Jane Hembree||John W Abbott|
Could you tell me if John W Abbot b. 8-13-1870, d. 10-12-1938, is the same person as John Wiley Abbott married to Amy Charlotte Hembree? They are in the same cemetery. I'm assuming that John W Abbott is John Wiley Abbott, but I want my records to be as accurate as possible. Thanks for all the work you've done to help out us other genealogist. It makes our search a lot easier.

Thank you for all your contributions. Can you please update the date of birth and the date of death for Dora Graves? They are reflected on the marker.
She and Arlie are my grandparents...of whom I have many, many fond memories!
Thank you again,
Steve W. Graves

|LA1975||Dawson Family Name|
I am interested in the William Dawson line, and I see that you have found some of William's family's headstones (Jane and the Usery family).
Do you know where William Dawson and any of the other Dawson family are buried? Do you have pictures? William's grandson, Asbury, was my grandmother's grandfather. I grew up in Washburn Missouri and live in Oklahoma today. My e mail is firstname.lastname@example.org I would like to hear from you. Thank you so much. My warm regards, Leah Anne Patterson Fletcher (my maternal grandmother was a Dawson)
