Prouty vs Prouty
Yes, I totally agree with your take on her name. Check to make sure I edited it to your satisfaction. I've been distracted as my dad passed away on Easter, so just getting back to checking edits.....Happy Spring~!

Lydia Converse Prouty # 10924864
I've checked records and it's a toss-up as to whether her middle name is Converse. Consensus seems to dictate that her maiden could be Prouty, but half say no and the other half say Yea. Do you have personal knowledge to prove/disprove one way or t'other? Blessings

I'm checking the information you sent for an edit of Lydia's maiden name; I've updated her DOB using a tombstone calculator to 2 Dec 1784. There are conflicting dates and names. I'll get back with you. Thanks and blessings

RE: Mary Elizabeth Holt Williamson
So glad you enjoyed the photo, her husband is a brother to my 2x great aunt Virginia Frances Williamson who married John Williams Williamson. I think I have her middle name correct, without looking at my tree. These Williamson families have been one more genealogy puzzle which has taken me a long time to finally get the pieces to fall in place. I have been trying to prove James Williamson's Revolutionary War service record, without any luck so far. Have you ever seen any of Elizabeth Williamson Dixon's books she published on the Williamson and related families? She published 14 books on these families along with Caswell County too. Just curious the only one I can find are through the Family History Library in Utah. Which I can order the microfilm and view them just at a cost per book. I was just hoping to find someone who had a copy of any of them. Glad you enjoyed the photos I found them in a Confederate Pictorial book in the Linda Vernon Genealogy Room at the Madison-Mayodan Public Library in Madison, NC.

I deleted mine. In the future if you have any other issues please use the edit button within the memorial. I don't usually honor requests here as they can get mixed up which does not happen when done through the memorial.

Buchanan- Sylvester Hammond
Hello, thanks for information. Makes it difficult to know whether to use his name Hammond or Buchanan as on DC. Might you know where his Hammond father is buried and/or where mother Isabelle Hammond Buchanan is buried? thanks.

RE: LORD Abner
I am only related to Abner (in a round about way) due to his daughter Eliza Seldon Lord marrying Abram Irvine McDowell, my 4th cousin, 5x removed, their is no blood line there. However Abram & Eliza children have both Lord & McDowell blood line so there is a direct connection to them.

The only information I have on the Lord family is from which shows only 1 son, Abner Lord (1792-1829) with wife Mary Seldon. I have not done any further research or read any of the many books about the family which may show additional sons. Many of these books may be available to read on line or through your local library.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
