RE: Lacie P. Pemberton #100102663
Lacie was the mother-in-law of paternal 1st cousin.

Do you know anything about Walter B. Turner's wife? They were married around 1888 and she died around 1895.

RE: Thula Tackitt #7264195
Her Missouri Death Certificate File 31888 gives her name as Thuly A. Tackitt. She was born in Mountain Grove Missouri. Her usual residence was LaVaca Arkansas. She was the daughter of Jarred Henry Branson and Letitia Benson. She was the wife of William Harvey Tackitt (1882-1961).

If I am figuring this right, she was my third cousin, three times removed.

Hi, I transferred her to you since I was having a huge dilemma over name in stone versus name on death certificate and which one would I go with if I were a family historian. Stone, as in carved in came up the winner, not that all stone carvers are good with spelling, especially country name spelling. So problem solved by delegation.

RE: Osborne Cemetery
Hi P.J, It is very possible that John Richmond is buried in this cemetery. There are many graves there with markers and I am sure they are not all listed. I received this list from an elderly gentleman who lived in Dungannon, who has since passed away. I met him in Osbornes Hardware in Dungannon.

James and Matilda Osborne were my 3 greats grandparents. My g g grandfather was named John Richmond Osborn and was killed about 1847 in Missouri by a wagon turned over on him. He lived close to his older brother, Stephen Osborne when he was killed. So I'm sure we are related.

There are many graves in this cemetery without markers and some with just flat rocks with initials. Cattle was in this cemetery for some time and many stones are turned over and laying on the ground. I live in Missouri, but if I lived in Dungannon, I would go thru this cemetery and make sure all stones were listed.

your message is dated 2012 but I just received it.
my email is gro39@comcast.net if you have more questions. Glen Osborn

RE: My apology
No need for an apology. I was confused because I knew the original creator maintained credit after a transfer, so the comments written didn't make sense to me.

Dawna
PS: my 40+ memorials, more than I created are all the VA's fault:-) Send them an update and they make a transfer!

Transfers
I saw your note to Kenneth D. Bogard (#46562702) about transfers and don't understand what was meant.

When a memorial is transferred the record then shows
"Maintained by" and "Originally Created by" at the bottom of the record.

Am I missing something?

Dawna

RE: Herman Anderson Berry #86853845
His wife was Margaret Pearl Lively. Her brother, Rosser, was my great-grandfather. He was struck by lightning in 1936 when my grandma was 7. I am just discovering this family, and wish ther was further information. I know quite a bit about the Lively's, but nothing about the Berry's. :)

If you have any information on that cemetery I would really like to know about it. I've had several people ask me about it. I'm with the Charlotte County Historical & Genealogical Society. We have a new website: www.cchg.net We are working on it now and we will be adding free information about Charlotte County on it. Obits, churches, newspaper articles, etc... Please check once in a while to see what we have. It will all be free. If you like we can put some information in the library. We have had alot of people make connections that way.

RE: Osborne Cemetery
Hi PJ, yes their are numerous unmarked graves in the cemetery, their are a lot more marked also, but when I was there, the ones I have on the find a grave are the only ones I was able to take pictures . Most of the older graves did not have a vault, probably just a pine coffin, because most graves are sunken badly.
