RE: Dragoo cemetery
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! It's Jim Kennedy road, it used to be Daveys Run rd years and years ago. I'm not positive but I think this is the cemetery I tried to go to last week but nobody was home so I wasn't going through yards :) There are at least 3 other cemeteries on this same road, that's why I'm not sure if this is the one or not.
You may have a hard time getting it declared historical since there are so many old cemeteries in this area that aren't destroyed, it makes me sad that they are in such disrepair but mostly they were private family cemeteries and not even registered as cemeteries. In West Virginia if you don't live in city limits, you can still bury people on your land, so it's very hard to identify all of the cemeteries.
There are several cemeteries that are listed on Find A Grave in or around Barrackville and I have been trying to find the older, hidden ones for a couple years, I've been pretty successful so far! I have photographed 87 cemeteries in Marion county. When I started doing this, Find A Grave only had 195 for this county so I started going through the list... needless to say, I have had to add several and other people have added several so I don't feel I have made any progress.
If it's too grown over, I will wait until in the fall and make my teenager go with me and help clear the bramble.
There is another site that I have submitted photos to, it is the West Virginia cemetery preservation association.

Dragoo cemetery
I am wondering if you could tell me where the Dragoo cemetery is located in Marion co., WV. I saw on one of your photos that is located near Barrackville. I live in Barrackville and photograph cemeteries, I would like to find this one. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 41802030 Dragoo, Roy E.
Hi Vi, I can't tell you who his parents were. He was married to my mom's aunt Dorothy Hageman. Dorothy had 4 other sisters. Cleo and Maudie, Zona, & Irene. Are you related some how. Audrey

RE: Samuel Dragoo & Rachel Amanda Day
Hi Vi thank you for making the update I appreciate it! I know there is tons of Dragoo info out there. I think you know my parents Philip & Nancy Dragoo from the DFA. I seem to recognize your name, but correct me if I'm wrong. I recently got hooked on Findagrave & am working through my father's info to add what we have and link people together as much as possible and of course fill in any holes, etc. My father did most of his research before there were handy tools like find a grave. He has always shared info with me, but it was just recently that I became totally hooked on geneology & am particulary interested in visiting graves. I will probably have questions for you for sure. I transferred Thornton and Helen Carr to you. I took the headstone pictures a few years back while wandering around at Mendocino Cemetery, have no other background on them.

RE: Edward S. Dragoo
If you go to this site it is the online cemetery for Alliance. There is only one Dragoo listed. If you are sure she is buried there you might contact their city office. I live about 350 miles from there but my husband built the directory so I am there at least 2 times a year. Sorry I could not help. Deb

RE: Paul burials Granby, MO
No, I'm sorry, I'm not related to most of the memorials I add usless I leave flowers for them. Most of my info comes from the Newton Co. Museum and the Neosho/ Newton co. Library. I would like for there to eventually be listings and pictures for all of the Newton co. interments.

Dragoo Family
I'm currently researching my Dragoo lines when I saw your information on William Franklin Dragoo. My G4 Grandma was Anna Dragoo who married David Flaugher. I'd love to compare notes. Contact me if you are interested! -Julia
