Martha Zachary Wilhite
Hi Jami Thanks so much for adding the links for Enoch Zachary. I didnt see Martha Zachary Wilhite, she is at Garnett Cemetery,Garnett, Anderson, Kansas.

When Martha was dating or engaged to Jamison Vawter Wilhite, her little brother was born in July 1852. Jemison V Zachary, I believe his 1st name is mispelled and his middle name is Vawter but have no proof. I believe he is named after Jamison. Do you have proof? Also my grandpa Elijah B Zachary, I'm thinking ''Black'' his moms maiden name, Again no records.

Thanks again, Randy

Hi Jami! I added Florence and submitted a photo request so you'll get the photo credit if you upload it to the memorial.

Thanks so much! Now I just have to get all of these relationships sorted out on my family tree!

RE: Enlow's
Hi Jami -
This is my husband's line but not directly. Have you seen the book on the Wilhite/Wilhoite/Villhite families associated with ties to the Germanna Colony in Virginia?

Based on the 1850 of Union Twp., Montgomery Co. Ind. Frances A. is age 4; Jerome B. is 2 and Mary E. is 6/12; Jemmison married Sarah 18 October 1842 and she died in 27 February 1852. He married for his third wife, Martha Zachary on 7 October 1852.

In the 1860 Coal Valley, Rock Island, Illinois census, Frances A. is 14; Mary E. is 9 and a Sarah B. is age 7. By the age of Sarah B. I calculate her birth to be in 1853, a year after his marriage to Martha. Sooo Frances A. and Mary E. are both the children of Jemmison & Sarah. I don't know what happened to Jerome B. but I am assuming that he has passed away. I don't have anymore on this family, but would appreciate anything you can send my way. I have Family Tree Maker so, if you do too, you can send me a gedcom file if you so wish.

I will check to see if there is a stone for your Vinnie HAVENS, and if so will take a photo.
I have a lot of them have not yet added photos of.
I think most likely she has a stone, if I added and she is there, and not related to me she must have and the information came from one.
She is in lot 196

Please be sure to read the caption with this photo. It appears that there is no marker but several of your relatives are buried there.

Mitchell, Glen
Hi again,
I added the photo that I took after Glen Mitchell's gravestone was raised. They could have raised it at least an inch more, but it does look better. You can delete the one that you prefer. I think you can do it, but is not let me know and I will do it. I get confused what the photographer can do and what the person who opens the memorial can do. Sorry it took me so long to get this up.

Glen Mitchell
I don't know if you saw it or not, but I left you a note under one of Glen Mitchell's photos telling how to notify Rose Hills to request if they can raise and level his grave. Yes, I did clean it off. You would not be able to see the name and dates. At the top left corner, it was about three inches deep tapering off till about the middle of the grave. The whitish film on the left side could not be removed. Let me know if you contact Rose Hills and I will go back and get another photo after it is raised. Like it is, it will just get covered up again when they drag their mowers across or water the grass. The last I heard, there is no charge for this. After all, part of the original charge is for "perpetual care."

I have a sack in the car with scissors for clipping grass, a nylon brush, and a hand shovel for cleaning off graves like Glen's. It would not be much of a photo without being able to read the stone.

You are very welcome. I had never been to the cemetery before. It is a beautiful setting in a rural area, and very well kept.
