I have attempted to contact you through the edit tab several times, it seems to have cliches.
Rosannah is my third great-grandmother. She was not the daughter of Mary "Polly" Dotson; nor was she the biological daughter of Daniel Boone Bowens. Daniel was married Before Mary. His first wife had two known sons by him and then in Spring of 1820 she was raped during an Indian raid on the family's cabin. Rosannah was the product of that rape, she was born 1 MAR 1821 at her granny's home in Virginia. After returning to Ohio with the baby; Rosannah's mother could not deal with the scorn from the rape and commited suicide within two years. Daniel was told by family and neighbors to give the girl back to the Indians. He did not and raised Rosannah as his own. If you have a DNA test done like many of my family, you should find you have Iroquois Indian blood in the mix.
I thought you might want to know this information to keep the record straight. My side have search for proof of this family lore for many decades. Our DNA and a termination of my third great-grandmother's Indian heritage circa 1903 helped confirm this family story (plus other things).
Blessings in all your endeavors,

Lori, that is fine. I'm not trying to gain numbers just sort of trying to uniform the families' memorials with correct information, possibly add family lore here and there. I will send you info and photos I would like added to her memorial, after the New Year. If you want you can add all/ part of the information and I will post the photos you approve. Wishing a Blessed Holiday Season to you and yours. Mary

Lori, which one of her children do you descend from? I understand about the transfer, no bad feelings. We (Varvel descendants) are trying to link the family to make it easier for present day and future relatives to locate them and which branch is which, especially with so many like names. You and yours have a Blessed Christmas.

I noticed you left a message for Eric Schultz (#47710899) thanking him for the picture for John W Routzong 74549419.
John W Routzong 74549419 is my relative, are you also related?

Are you a life-long fan of "Mother's", the same as I am??? I'm afraid Ruth's followers are getting more and more scarce, though the turn-out at last Fall's reception introducing the newest DVD on her life's work was very well-attended, as I've heard. I watched The 50/50 Club as far back as I can remember and the late Bruce A. (who contributed to findagrave as well as several of the audio/video biographies on Ruth Lyons made in Cincinnati--his name is mentioned on the sleeves) shared such warm memories of growing up to her show; I still cry when I hear her Christmas music, I give every year to the Children's Christmas Fund and I mourn her passing (and the passing of an era), almost as a 2nd mother! I'm 60, probably one of the younger fans of Miss Lyons'. I hope to hear from you and your feelings about her and the gang from The 50/50 Club! Blessings always, Joan Peckham Korber

You are very welcome. This is one of the oldest graves I have photographed for a request. I was very taken with the lovely carving on his marker.
This particular cemetery is fortunate in that the water they use for sprinklers is very pure, and does not leave deposits on the stones, nor does it degrade them. They are also blessed with no vandalism. For such old stones, this cemetery is full of remarkably well-preserved ones. It is quite unusual, in this area with mostly limestone-loaded water. Very nice.

Do you have a Polly A Johnson in your tree?
She is buried at the New Market Baptist Cemetery. I took a picture of this head stone also. If she is related, please post and I will add the picture.

You are very welcome. I'm always sorry when the loved one doesn't have a stone, that's why I "make" them one. If you would prefer to just have the picture with only the flowers, please let me know and I will be happy to remove her "marker".
Hope you have a great day,
Alice (also) :-)

There are a ton of Zimmermans interred @ Fairview Cemetery in Gratis & West Alexandria, in Sugar Grove these are all in Preble County and some in Germantown. I have taken most of the Zimmerman's headstone photos, don't have them all posted yet. Let me know if you have any more that you're looking for. My family married into the Zimmerman family. Thanks, Jean

No problem. There is a headstone right beside his. I took a picture. I couldn't make the picture out very good. I think it says "Eliza, Wife of J.W. Routzong, died Jan 26 1886, Aged 24? years 8 months 28 days" If it's info you need or want to add, I can stop back out there and take a closer look. The cemetery is walking distance from my house.

Lori, you are very welcome. I am glad that I could help. I know you have a lot of family in Pleasant Hill so if you would like me to transfer any of the memorials to you, don't hesitate to send over a request for them. I would be more than happy to do it.
