Have several family members buried in Caddo Parish and see you referring to Burial noted by Millie Watkins in her self-published book "Caddo Parish Cemeteries. Is there a way to get a copy of this publication?

Julia Sparke Rule "Pansy"
Thank you for submitting the picture of my Great Grand Mother, Julia Sparke Rule, I do not believe I have seen that particular one. I have one of her paintings-I will have to take a picture of it & add it to her memorial. I am searching for more information about her. J Frank McAneny was a close friend of my family...he helped us discover some information. I believe she was the first female reporter for The Times, along with many other accomplishments. If youhave any more information regarding her legacy, please contact me at lacylynettejones@gmail.com Thank You again-Sincerely-Lacy L. Jones

Hi, John,

I wish to thank you for making a correction to my mother-in-law's info. Due to the considerable difference in her age and her husband's age, I can see why it might seem that he was her father. She was Bose F. Kelley's second wife.

I have a question for you. One child, Ruby M. Kelley Beadle is shown - (b) 1/1/1927 (d) 2/13/2013.
There are four other children and they are all living. Is this the reason (living) that they cannot be shown?

Thank you.

John Cameron memorial
Thanks John for catching it. I did not create that memorial, but it was one of over 41,000 that I "inherited" when the original creator died. I looked it up on another database and he indeed had missed the birth by a century. It has now been corrected.
Thanks,

Thank you John for the transfer and for setting up his page to begin with. I added the new history and created more links. With your military background, you may be interested. I really appreciate your help with our family history.

I was able to find out good biographical information and military history on my uncle Charles. Shall I write it up and send it to you to add or would you like to transfer the page to me? Whichever is easier for you is fine.

Thanks

RE: Jesse Winchester
Hi John,

When creating a famous entry, you should always use their stage or professional name. I didn't think of doing a search using his real name.

Find A Grave has already accepted mine, so I can't change the birth place but I will send an email asking them to correct it.

Thank you,

Louis

I just learned last night that my Great Grandparents are most likely buried in a group grave in Oakland Cemetery in Shreveport. They died from Yellow Fever in 1873. Sidney Ira Taylor and his wife Helen Mary Eaman Taylor. Also baby Annie may have too. Do you know if the names in the mass grave of possibly 800 can be found? I am writing my Family History. My sister sent me a section of a TV program last night on this. I know this is public so I won't send my email address. Clarissa

OK I understand, so if they are essentially the same cemetery, then is there a reason you've made a duplicate? The other memorial was created first and it has photos & flowers, so I was wondering if there is a need to keep them both.

Barksdale B-47 incident 1957
Hello John,

I am seeking information about 3 additional airmen who perished when a B-47 attempted to abort takeoff from Barksdale AFB on Dec. 6, 1957. The only name I have is for Carlton A Boutelle which you maintain the memorial.

Thanks much!

Tim

You are right about 1883, but there is some confusion here. His memorial page has 1888.

RE: Theodocia Shahan
Thank very much for your quick response in locating the Shahan obituaries! I appreciate it very much. Their son Barney Gould Shahan died March 5, 1919, in Shreveport. His WW I Draft Registration card says that he lost the use of both legs. I am hoping there is an obituary for him that might explain this more.
Also, Civil War veteran William Gilbert Brook died Oct 16, 1929, either in Shreveport, or in Logansport, DeSoto Parish. Could you please check for me to see if there is an obituary for him as well? I have no information on his parents.
Thanks again.
