To begin, it's wonderful to finally have photos of my great grandparent's grave markers (Francis Charles and Elizabeth Barclay Brinkmann) - not to mention several of their children. The fact that you documented the entire family's record at the cemetery is phenomenal!

Edna Lucille Pope (m. J. Garland Martin) (1903 – 1990) was one of her daughters.
Emily Jean Martin was a daughter of Edna and J G Martin.

I would appreciate that, thank you :) That would be awesome.. like i said, he was a part of our family , my great uncle who worked for the state in baton rouge, was a mentor at angola and thats how they met as far as i know..my uncle is now 85 yrs old living in minden, and the fbi did come to the house when swede escaped (my mother told me this) to ask my uncle if he had heard or seen him and of course he hadnt.. my uncle is always 100% honest no matter what... anyhow, i wasnt aware of anything to do with swedes past until a few years ago when i asked my mother about him, because i remembered spending time with him.Added by Michelle McGuire Chrismon on Feb 03, 2013 1:16 AM | |

Thank you for adding Douglas "Swede" Dennis.. I grew up knowing him as "Sweet", it wasnt until I was an adult, I found out his name was "Swede". I spent time with him at my family home, he was like a family member and I never once saw him be anything but kind and caring. He would sit on the front porch step with me, while we waited for dinner to be ready and talk with me. I know he committed crimes, but I never knew that person..I only knew someone who was like an Uncle to me, a very kind man.
