|Ray Burgess||Information on Nancy French|
VIn reference to:
Find a Grave, memorial # 14547312 (2006) Watsonville, CA
I was disturbed about your information on Nancy F French. I finally found that you used Ancestry for your census information in 1880. The information you have on Nancy French is as follows.
Deaf and dumb
This information only appears only on Ancestry records, not on the census film. This is misleading and false material. This should not be on this site.

|Cynthia Smith-Cloughly||Miles Cary Sr tomb location|
Miles Cary Sr is my 10th GG; his son Thomas is my 9th GG. I live near Newport News VA, but cannot locate Miles Cary Sr's reconstructed tomb based on the location on the fine memorial page you have made @ http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=9702282. May I ask where you took the picture you have of it on your memorial page for him?

|J L Bryant||Bryants|
Dear Ms. Satterfield,
Due your notes on memorials, and given the amount of Bryants you have inyour memorials, I believe we might be connected (if these folks are in your lineage). Would you please contact me (using the email addres is fine..) to see how/where/through who we might be related? I'd certainly appreciate being able to extend the branches of the NJ Bryant further with your help.
Thanks ! yours, Jeff

I agree that you are in the middle. That is why I offered to accept the transfer of the memorial.
To suggest that we both have equal evidence would be incorrect. The primary evidence that I am offering is a marriage license transcription that gives the four parents. That transcription is listed in sources on Geni and is available there and on familysearch for anyone to see. I have provided links to those parents that you have accepted.
The other person has evidence that another individual with a similar name and similar age is from the same area.
That does not suggest equal evidence.
Family records showed the relationship that has been proven by first hand information. A marriage license provides information that the two individuals give. That makes it first hand information.
Personally, I am happy to leave things as they are for now. You have linked to the parents that are on the marriage license and are in my family records. I was asked to request that you remove the incorrect citation.
But in fact the information on findagrave has been used as proof of the relationship until now.
You could decide to transfer the memorial. That would remove you from the position you find yourself in. But that might be premature. Why don't you hold onto it for now and transfer if you feel the memorial would be best served by that sometime in the future. For now everyone should examine the facts and I think the issue will be settled amicably.
And I'll be happy to welcome new cousins.
Now I sent a request through the edit tab. It is not an open forum. You placed this in an open forum for better or worse. I'll let you decide whether that is what you want. To me it increases the sense of you being in the middle.
