Thank you!!
Thank you for the lovely flower memorial that you left for Elmer & Flora Snyder. They are my great-great-grandparents on my motherís side. My mother was a Fortner, & her married name is Haga.

Kind regards,
Ali Romanov

James Logan Thompson Herrin
I forgot to ask you if you are related to the Herrins. I am always looking for descendants.
My great grandmother was Melissa Herrin d/o Isaac Herrin & Emma Jane Matthews. Isaac was a brother to James Logan & Esquire Marion.

James Logan Thompson Herrin
Hello........I notice you published one of my ancestor's memorial. Thank you. The stone that you took a picture of I had re-mounted. I found James' stone lying on the ground many years ago and did not really know how he fit in the Herrin family since there is only initials for his given name. However a grandson of James Logan Thompson Herrin Jr. was searching to see how he was connected to his grandfather (James Logan Thompson Herrin Jr.) Then it rang a bell for me that the flat stone at Brian must be the father of James Jr. Yes it was so I hired a man to put the stone upright. We feel that perhaps Esquire Marion Herrin might be buried between Elijah Herrin & wife Sarah Elizabeth Thompson. James Logan Thompson Herrin's name was given to him since Sarah Elizabeth Thompson had a Brother named James Logan Thompson. Thought you might enjoy this little tidbit.
Regards,
JCI

Thank you, I took out the "Potter" name. Odd, no mention of father William in the obit.

I was wondering if it would be ok to have Ashlynn's memorial transferred over to me? If not I understand. Transferring will just let me manage the memorial. I hope I am not offending you by asking this. You have done a great job with it and the pictures too.

Hi Lanice,

I found out how to change the cemetery on a memorial and thankfully you don't have to delete it. How you do it is:

Click on edit burial.
Check off cemetery burial and click continue.
Then type in Georgetown in the Cemetery name box, and click search
Then check off the cemetery you want and click save changes

Hope you are having a good day.

Melanie Mann
Thomas Stark memorial # 27654382
Wanting to verify information. I have that his father James married twice: first wife Mary Ann Ragle (1826-1857) married in 1839, and second wife Eliza Jones (1834-1910) married in 1859. If I have the correct Thomas Stark here, then Eliza would be the mother, not Mary. Do you have other information on the family that may help me clarify? Thank you.

It seems I have some information about this person mixed up. I have to go back and correct the information, but cannot do that until later this week.

Are you related to any of the Haggerty, McKinster, Colvin families of Vermilion county? I noticed you posted many of the names that I'm researching.

Dale Sandlin
I was at Elmwood Cemetery today and went to the burial site of Dale Sandlin. I put a caption in the photo that I posted. There is no grave stone for Dale so I posted a photo of where he is buried and it shows the two stones that flank his burial site. Feel free to remove the photo if you don't want it there. If you keep it you might want to put in the grave marker notes that he does not have a stone :-)
