RE: Ollie Shankle Ketcham
Mary if you will send me your e-mail address I will attach a copy of the Shankle Family Tree which includes several of the Childress family members which may be of help. There is a son of Raymond Childress who lives between Lonoke and Cabot Arkansas and his address is James Childress, 1126 Oakdale Road, Lonoke, Arkansas 72086 Phone # (501) 676-2968. Even though he lived next door to where Raymond lived he never expressed much interest in his family roots. There is several of the Ketcham's family that lives here in Arkansas.

No native american relatives in the Shankle Family. She was a sister to Charles Winslow Shankle and he has a Star of David on his headstone so we assume we were of the Jewish decendant.

There are very poor records for West Mina Cemetery, she is probably there but many burial records are missing

Thanks Mary! Sylvia was my mother-in-law. I'm married to her son Tom. She was a blessing in our lives and we will miss her always. I'd love to hear more about your time with her at school. Please send me a private message. Kind Regards, Julie

I went to the library today to see if I could find the obituaries. I had no luck, but I will try other newspapers at other libraries.
I did get Fred and Elizabeth's tombstone pictures. They were on the left side of the stone. The four smaller stones are in each corner, with the large stone in the center.
Harriet's stone is very hard to read. I tried brushing it. I think it is a little easier to read now. You probably know if you click on the pictures, it makes them bigger and easier to read.

Thank you for the info.
I reloaded my camera chip and zoomed in on Ferd.'s tombstone again. His middle initial is H not N.
It is raining today, but when I get back over to Mina, I will try to get clearer pictures of Harriet and Fred.'s look for Fred.
Sometimes if I go a different time of the day, I get a better picture.

RE: Harriet S. Lewis & children
Hi Mary,
I think Ferd. N Anthony is an abbreviation for Ferdinand. It's definitely not Fred as there is a period after Ferd. The middle initial is "N" and his death year is 1898.
Harriet's birth year is 1835 on her stone, but as you probably know, stones aren't always correct. I think sometimes people subtracted the age from the year they died and came up with the wrong year of birth because of the month they were born.
I do have to go back over to Mina. There were a couple of stones I couldn't find. I will look for your Fred Anthony at that time.

Do you have the month and date that Ferd., Fred and Harriet died. I could try to find their obituaries for you. They might answer some questions.

Hugh McClellan
I found a Hugh McClellan with all the same info except the last name was spelled Mclellan. Also found him in a story where he was in Shay's Rebillion. I found this on the internet by just typing in his name. Is this the same person

Cook/Dart in Sinclairville
Hi Mary,
I have replaced all the cook family photos on Find a Grave. All but 2 on Washburn's memorial, the snow actually make that one easier to read. Also, I didn't change Mary Cook Dart either. If I get better photos later i will replace them too.
Sincerely, Ron Kinney

RE: Mary Ann Cook Dart
Hi Mary,
You're very welcome, I will retake all the photos the next time I go out that way. I live in Fredonia and we didn't get the snow. The storm came through Sunday night and I thought all of it would be gone by today, that was 4 days ago.
The memorials that I created I would be happy to transfer them over to you. Then you can add whatever information at your convenience, just let me know.

If you would like the photos for the others, please put in photo requests for the ones you want and I will by happy to add them to their memorials for you.
Sincerely, Ron Kinney

RE: Lewis-Card Lot
Hi Mary,

The Lewis stones I photographed in the Lewis Card lot were the only ones I found. The lot is small and very old. There are a few other stones but the inscriptions are gone. There are Lewis family members in other cemeteries in the area however.

Thanks for writing!

RE: Lewis Lot in Rhode Island
HI Mary, no I'm sorry I haven't been out there to get any pictures. I don't live there but thought I would be visiting and then it didn't happen. Not sure when I'll get there now. I entered some old cemeteries as my early Merris/ss relatives are buried in the area.

RE: Beckwith Photo
I have pictures of most. I'll post what I have this weekend so you can check back and see. I'm not sure if it applies to you but I met with Wilbur Beckwith (age 82), the historian at the Thomas Lee House in Lyme Ct recently and he has quite a bit of insight in the area history.
