|Nancy Hutzler||Location of Green Hill Cemetery, Titus County Texas|
Could you please help me with the directions to Green Hill Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Titus County Texas? I noticed that you had provided the picture for the cemetery.
I have tried with no success in finding the directions to the cemetery. One source said it was by the GreenHill Church but, when I called the telephone number provided it was a disconnected line.
I plan on visiting the cemetery very soon and really would like to visit my great great grandmother's grave.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,

Gayle, thank you so much for a quick response to my request. By posting the gravestone, you made it possible for me find several more ancestors.

Oops I didn't post her obit. Do you know where you got her death date of 25 July 1918. I think the headstone looks like 1967.

I have linked John to his parents. Thanks for the info and also for posting a photo of both him and his stone. It makes his memorial even better!

actually there is no way she married him in 1912!! She was living with Van (John Van) O'Neall in Armstrong Texas in 1920! I have the census records. I think this Ruby was a different one or something. Something is not right here. She could not have had my grandmother and her siblings with Van and be married to a Gilpin.

you have left off some information on Ruby Payne. She was first married to John Van Buren O'Neall. They had four children together. I have several photos of her with those children. I assume she remarried at a later time.

Thank you for your time and effort. It really is up to you if it makes sense to put a picture of his unmarked grave. I'll just add a note to the memorial either way that there is no headstone.

You are most welcome for the pictures.
I've transferred John Compton over to your care as I am not related.

|Pege||Johnathan Compton b NY in 1800|
Awesome job on this line! My line in MI (Abner Compton b in NY, died in Lenawee Co, MI) ties into this line before Johnathan in NY, but also ties into Jackson Co, OH Comptons. I know they were in the Seneca Co, NY area and then Niagra Co, NY. Do you know who Johnathon's father was? Just checking. NY is my fuzzy area. Thanks for posting!

I fulfilled the photo request for Cecil Compton. I just noticed your mother link for Cecil is Louise with burial unknown.
Well I found her. She is also buried at the same cemetery. I added Louise Compton memorial upon finding when looking for Cecil's grave. They are not buried next to each other for some reason.
Her Find A Grave# is 90516995 if you want to replace the link.
She is not buried as a Gurst. Her photo is also on my memorial.
Also I don't know if there's any relation or not but Cecil is buried in between Lena McDanielson and another that I can't read. If you would like the photo I can email it to show their proximity.

You're welcome for the pictures. I was happy to help. I know you were looking for another Compton, but I didn't see them near the ones I photographed. Best of luck!
