Would you happen to know the directions to the old Burdette/Roberts Cemetery on CR 236 Chambers Co. Ala? I have read that it is about 1/2 mile into the woods but have no idea where.I don't know if it still accessible. My mom's gg-grandmother is buried there.

John T. Burchfield
Thank you so much for posting the news articles about John T. Burchfield. His sister Ethel is my great grandmother. We never knew anything about this, and had only recently heard a family member mention the big secret "about Johnny killing that boy." A quick google search, and now we know.
Do you know anything else about the Birchfields? Are you related? Would love to speak with you.

Thanks for posting all of my edits. I usually work in batches, so I sometimes have several at a time. Thanks for your contributions to Find A Grave; many have helped me in researching my wife's family history.

Emily Jane Carter Johnson - Oakwood Cemetery
I was wondering if you could tell me what documentation you have that Emily Johnson is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett? We've never been able to find anything definitive. I would appreciate any info you can share.

Eli McKinney Cemetery
Don, I am interested knowing whether there was a Church that was near/at the Howell Cemetery on Find A Grave. Sorry for the confusion. Sharon Church is south of Fredonia, the cemetery I am talking about is North of Fredonia on the road to Welch. I have heard this group of graves called:

Howell Cemetery
McKinney Cemetery
Fredonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery

That is what I am asking for clarification on. Was there a church there? Sorry for the confusion. Pam

RE: Fredonia Primitive Baptist Church
Would it be possible to get a copy of the Sharon Church records then? I would be happy to pay for the copies, etc. Thanks for letting me know about my mistake. Since the whole cemetery is not correctly named on findagrave and I didn't have much else to go by except Tap Roots, I had seen notes online calling it Fredonia Primitive baptist.

I appreciate anything you might share! Pam

Fredonia Primitive Baptist Church
Hi Don, I am searching for church records on this congregation, would you happen to have anything on this church AND I have a partial cemetery transcript but was hoping to find more than the handful of records that are on Find A Grave as in the Howell Cemetery? Thanks so much. I sent you a message via Ancestry as well. Pam

Thanks for the heads up. I deleted my duplicate. I was just in town and didn't get a chance to get to the cemetery.

Please, put it back the way you had it.
Really sorry about that. Thanks for always being there for me.

John Orr
I have had a request in for several months for a picture of John Orr's marker. He is buried at New Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery in Waverly, Chambers Co, Al. I have had no response to my request for a picture so I thought I would write you to see if you remember a marker being in place?
Thanks for any help you can give. Richard Ferguson

RE: Old LaFayette Sun Obits
My GG-Grandmother was Mary Celestia Trammell, daughter of Dr. William Monroe Trammell. She was married to Robert William Rowell.

Her two sisters Ella C. Trammell and Willie Monroe Trammell)who were both married to James A. Wise were my 3rd Great Aunts.

Hopefully we can help each other research our family. I will be in Tallassee, Alabama for a family reunion on 9/13/2014. I also plan to go visit graves in the area and take photos while I am there. Thanks for all of your extensive work on Find-A-Grave! It is so helpful to those of us who live too far away. I love the extra work you have been putting into the bios. It is wonderful!
