Info for Uncle Jim
Uncle Jim is buried in Washington Cemetery, Washington, PA near his brothers Kenny/Kenneth Roy Work SR, Earl F. (Frank) Work, his Mom (Mary) Louella Fulton Work Wilson, and Uncle Jim's oldest child/infant son James R. Work JR.

Uncle Jim's middle initial is NOT "C." His middle initial is "R" according to his headstone and cemetery information, and his family (his kids and grandkids).

His Mom's link is not on here either.

Corrections for Aunt Opal
# 57909125
Paternal Aunt Opal Marie Work is buried in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, OH beside younger sister (Mary) Eleanor Work Gray in the “Last Supper” section of the cemetery near their younger brother Floyd W. Work SR and his wife Jean Ward Work; and their brother (my Dad) Bob/Robert Russell Work SR and his wife Alice Belle Thompson Work (and her Parents and grandchild of Bob & Alice Work, Deanna Edith McDavid). Need to add her Mom (Mary) Louella Fulton Work Wilson with the link, and infant brother Lester Work. They have 2 children: Don/Donnie/Donald Fetzer and Doris Fetzer Mazoff.

Names you list as siblings are not how my Aunts and Uncles or my Paternal Grandma were known. They were known as Grandma Wilson/“Louella,” Uncle Earl, Aunt Pauline, Aunt Opal, my Dad as Bob SR, Aunt Eleanor, Uncle Floyd, Uncle Kenny, and Uncle Jimmy/Jim. We never had info and never knew the name of our Paternal Grandpa Work/Works (which we got in 1972) or their infant son Lester Work (which we finally were provided by friends in Washington, PA in October 2015).

Corrrections to info for Aunt Pauline
Information for my Paternal Aunt (Anna) Pauline Work Garner Day is incomplete, incorrect, etc. Please add/correct this info: Thank you

Her MOM is (Mary) Louella Fulton Work (Wilson)
Her DAD is George Russell Work of Washington, PA (his legal name) alias James Russell Works of Tennessee.

Aunt Pauline is buried in Washington Cemetery beside her 2nd husband Lawrence Day in Washington, PA. Her Mom, 3 brothers (Earl, Kenny SR, Jimmy SR), a nephew, and infant brother Lester Work are also buried in Washington Cemetery in PA. She is the oldest girl in the Washington, PA Work family.

Add her infant sibling Lester Work.

Her son Robert/Bob W. Garner is named after my Dad, who lived with Aunt Pauline & her son Bobby after being in an orphanage after their Dad abandoned the Washington, PA family in 1926. In a Washington, PA census report my Aunt Pauline provided the wrong middle initial for my Dad, hence my Cousin has a different middle name (initial "W." instead of "R" for "Russell"). My Cousin Bob Garner passed away in 2015 in Ohio.

Aunt Pauline's first husband abandoned her and their young son, so she was divorced and later married 2nd husband Lawrence Day who had a son from his 1st marriage. Aunt Pauline & Uncle Lawrence Day had a daughter together, Donna Day Tutay of Washington, PA; and an infant son had died.

Incomplete, incorrect info for Uncle Earl
Record added: Jan 13, 2011
Find A Grave Memorial# 64167930
My Paternal Uncle Earl F. Work
Memorial contains a lot of FALSE, incorrect, missing, and incomplete information.
His 1st wife is Eleanor Burns Work and their daughter is Judy Work O'Meara of Washington, PA. He was married THREE (3) times. He divorced his 2nd wife (she had a son from her 1st marriage & was abusive). Mary Jo is his THIRD (3rd) wife with her 2 daughters from her 1st marriage. She was abusive and literally cost him the home he built with his 1st wife Eleanor, and she and her daughters took everything he and Judy had; including all photos so that Judy has NOTHING. Judy had to come home from college during finals to bury her Dad when his 3rd wife Mary Jo had done nothing.

You do not include his MOM'S NAME, (Mary) Louella Fulton Work Wilson or the correct name of his DAD, George Russell Work of Washington, PA (his legal name) alias James Russell Works of Tennessee (NOT his legal name).

Uncle Earl is the one who caught his Dad with another woman, which is the reason his Dad then abandoned his wife and 8 remaining kids in Washington, PA 1926; while Uncle Earl spent 46 years believing his Dad was dead before it was discovered 2-20-1972 that his Dad had changed his name (not legally) and was alive in Tennessee with a 2nd wife and 10 more kids. Uncle Earl had had a stroke and was not himself when he was informed in 1972 by his Cousin (Samuel) Clinton Work JR that Uncle Earl's Dad was alive in Tennessee. He would never have given his Half-brother (Melvin) Ralph Works photos of his wife and daughter (it was 3rd wife Mary Jo who did that).

And we now have the name of Uncle Earl's infant 2nd youngest sibling/brother Lester Work to add to Work family Memorials.

You have acquired a lot of information you did not have when you created all these Memorials, and those for the Washington, PA WORK family are for individuals you never met or knew. They are MY Dad's family, and hence MY family. My Cousins and I have the CORRECT information for our Parents' and their families. PLEASE make appropriate corrections to Memorials you created for OUR Parents and Washington, PA WORK family members. THANK You

Merita,
Unless you list my Dad's sister, my Paternal Aunt (Anna) Work Garner Day's CEMETERY (WASHINGTON Cemetery, Washington County, PA/Pennsylvania); we cannot get a photo of her headstone until I can return to the cemetery, hopefully next Summer!

You created a LOT of Memorials for my Dad's Pennsylvania WORK family long before you had correct information or photos. I have provided the CORRECT information with photos for each of them, and you need to go back and make corrections.

You should also give ME control of MY PARENTS Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, OH Memorials for Bob/Robert Russell Work SR and my Mom Alice Belle Thompson Work, my Dad's siblings (my Paternal Aunts and Uncles), and his MOM my Paternal Grand (Mary) Louella Fulton Work Wilson; as they are my Dad's family, hence MY family members of Washington, PA.

I know my Cousin Bonnie Work Adamcek would like to have her Parents' Memorials my Paternal Uncle Floyd W. Work and his wife Aunt Jean Ward Work, my Cousin Linda Gray Karasevik would like to have her Mom's Memorial for my Paternal Aunt (Mary) Eleanor Work Gray, and my Cousin Bob Garner's widow and daughter Linda Cosma would want to have my Paternal Aunt (Anna) Pauline Work Garner Day's Memorial. My Cousins Don Fetzer and his nieces Michele Mazoff Alker and Sharon Mazoff Atkinson would like to have their Mom's/Maternal Grandma Opal Marie Work Fetzer's Memorial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, OH.

ALL of these Memorials have INCORRECT, INCOMPLETE, and MISSING information because you did not and do not know these individuals other than the fact they are related to your Paternal Grandpa George Russell Work of Pennsylvania alias James Russell Works of Tennessee.

One of the biggest problems is the fact our Paternal Grandpa has a Memorial linked to all of his Pennsylvania and Tennessee wives and children as "JAMES Russell WORKS" of Tennessee without listing Grandpa Work/Works as "GEORGE Russell WORK" of Washington, PA. Therefore, his Pennsylvania 1st wife and 9 children cannot be linked to their DAD by his legal birth name: GEORGE Russell WORK of Washington, PA. It would be more appropriate to make sure he is listed by his legal name GEORGE Russell Work of Washington, PA "alias JAMES Russell Works" of Tennessee so that ALL of his 19 children and others can be appropriately linked to his Memorial in Tennessee.

At the very least, CHANGE the NAME LINKED to his Washington, Pennsylvania wife and children to GEORGE RUSSELL WORK "alias James Russell Works lf Tennessee" so others will be able to locate and identify Grandpa Work/Works. Keep in mind that the Washington, PA Work family had been told he was dead and none of them knew he was alive or that he had changed his name or what that name was for over 46 years from 1926 through 1972. Others will not be able to locate or identify Grandpa Work/Works as "James Russell Works," and will assume this is an ERROR (which it is).

Do you have legal evidence that Grandpa Work/Works ever LEGALLY CHANGED his name from George Russell Work of Washington, PA to James Russell Works of Tennessee? Even so, he was not legally married to his 2nd wife because he was never divorced and did not even know about the divorce filed in Pennsylvania in 1934 by my Paternal Grandmother Work Wilson until 1972 when it was discovered he was alive with 2 wives and 19 kids in 2 states after changing his name to hide his location and making it impossible to locate him. We have a very complex family history because of his choices and the ramifications involved which negatively and positively affect everyone in both families for generations.
Thank you
Dana

RE: John Dunlap Work
Assuming you have reliable information, I have made corrections on his memorial page to agree with your information. The "4s" on the tombstone looked like "1s" to me, thus those errors. I cannot tell you why they inscribed December rather than November, or why they inscribed Washington Co., PA, rather than Wilmington, DE.

Seems that brothers Samuel and William were both Doctors. Samuel was a doctor during the Civil War and in one census, he is down as a teacher.

Have you been able to go any further back than Gardner Lee, John's father, who died at the Mississippi River, in 1814, during the war of 1812. I'm not sure if he was shot or drowned. Or maybe he could have died from some other type of accident. I have no clue as to who Gardner's father is, or could be.

I believe we are third cousins. I came down the line of John his son Samuel W and then his son Samuel E Lee and then his daughter, my grandmother, Annie Lee who married Claude Raymond Mitchell.

Take a look here at Linnie's memorial:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=37113502
Ft. Hill added it and they even have a plot #. I wonder why they did that?

Evalee was my grandfather's Elbert Farmer's stepmother. His sister Sarah Farmer married Wm. Murphy who was Evalee's 1st cousin.
Boyd Farmer was my dad's 1st cousin.
So I guess you and I are cousins several times over.

Did you get my message about Estelle Farmer and Willis Hubbard?
