Fletcher Cemetery
Limestone CO Al,

I am in this area. Cemetery appears to be on private property in the woods. Do you have any more infomation about the graves or tie to the family before I attempt to gain access?

Capt. James Holben Family
Hello Libby, I am James Robert Holben, the son of Abner Brady Holben, the son of Moses Liberty Holben, the son of Capt. James Holben. I am the first cousin of Rita Holben Yancy as her father, Roy Scott Holben is a brother to my father. I also have been searching our family tree and had ran into a dead end with Capt. James Holben as the only thing we knew was he immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three and was from England. A few years ago, I was contacted by a Lynda Richardson from England who was researching her family tree and had traced to Moses L., and contacted me, via ancestry website. We communicated back and forth for some time and confirmed we are indeed related by common ancestors. Her access to the information in England was invaluable! I am copying both the link to my ancestory.com family tree, and Lynda's email to me with the link to her family tree. I think you will find her's very enlightening concerning Capt. James Holben ancestors.
Lynda's email___ My name is Lynda Richardson ( maiden name Holborn )& I've been following up my Great Uncle's research on our family tree. My Gt gt gt gt Grandfather came from Terrington St Clements in Norfolk , & i think we might have a few ancestors in common , going back to 1553 ! Here's a link to my tree , please contact me if you'd like any more information .

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me anytime Libby. Best Wishes, Jim Holben

RE: Robert McCormick
Libby,

You're quite welcome; it's a pleasure to assist. The McCormick plot is near the road so I didn't have to slog through the snow to find it.

As you may know, I uploaded photos to the memorials for Myrtle McCormick and Catherine McCormick. In addition, here are three more burials at that location:
John Merryman McCormick: 1911-1987
C. Leslie Saunders: 1913-1954
Genevieve McCormoick Saunders: 1914-1969

If you want to create memorials, I will upload the photos. Otherwise, I will create memorials eventually.

Regards,
Joe Canner

That would be great if you would help us get the word out about the project. We are sure there are many that we miss but want to have as complete a list as possible.

I noticed your interest in this memorial and wondered if you are related. He was my uncle by marriage. I had not visited his memorial and posted the best picture I had with me. I have a better one back home on my desktop computer. I will replace this one when i get home.
Are you related?

Westview photo requests
Hello

I would like to help you find your photo request at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Westview is massive the largest cemetery in the whole Southeast. Would you please help me by calling the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out whether the grave is marked with a monument or marker or both AND what the section and lot numbers are.

Then I will gladly look.

The office is reluctant to give out that information to non-relatives.

Thanks

Phil

RE: I'm Confused
Thanks, I would appreciate it a lot. I'm helping a friend research her daughters ancestry. If it would help, I can look up the other family members that are buried there. This family may be buried nearby. Of course, they might not be too. You never know. I have one family I was looking at that pretty much most of three generations were buried in the same cemetery, but not in a close grouping. Another family was all in the same section though. You never know.

Sorry for the second message, I was curious. Cyril's family, the Morris family is buried in that cemetery. Parents, siblings, and maybe grandparents too. Quite a few of them.

RE: I'm Confused
I don't know if they are or not, but many of their family are buried there including a set of parents and several siblings. I would have to double check to tell you which set of parents though. If you happen to find them, I would really like to know! It's quite a mystery for me!

RE: I'm Confused
I guess I should have sent a better explanation of what I was trying to say. Sorry about that, but I am pretty tired and did too much on Thanksgiving I guess! I was looking at the memorial for Marian Morgan Morris and read what someone else had posted. Didn't catch the name, but they said the Marian Morris the memorial was dedicated to didn't have a daughter by the name of Elizabeth, which is the Marian I'm looking for. To possibly help others I thought the extra sentence I sent would help them. Still looking for Marian Freeman, wife of Cyril Morris and mother of Elizabeth Morris was born in 1907 like the memorial you have, but passed away in 1984. If you don't want to add the additional information, I understand. It sounds like someone might have been frustrated at some point by people who thought she was the Marian Morris who was married to Cyril and mother to Elizabeth.
Sorry to bother you, but Merry Christmas and happy tombstone hunting!

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

thanks for letting me know that I've duplicated my aunt's memorial. I deleted the latest one. I see there is another, which has incorrect information on it, photos taken from my ancestry.com, and created after my first memorial done in 2008, #27793556. The one I'm referring to is no: 34652814, by D C McJohnathan-Swarm, the same person I've had many problems with over the years on this website. I prefer that his be deleted also as he does not have the right information.

I just tried to delete the transferred memorial that was created by D C McJohnathan-Swarm, and I cannot do it without requesting from F.A.G. which I've just done. I will be unhappy if they tell me I must delete my memorial to my grandmother since I created it before McJohnathan did one, from which he took info off my ancestry page to do his.

Yes, I'm aware of the two memorials. I've been working on cleaning one up, #34543882, created by someone distantly related who had lots of misinformation. It's taken me about 2 yrs for him to transfer management to me so I can straighten my grandmother's memorial with correct facts. As you can tell, he created his memorial after I created mine and took much off Ancestry.com and lifted photos off my ancestry page to put on F.A.G. which is strictly prohibited
I will get his off if I can, since he created it, and will add more to mine.

Thanks, Mary 47079221
