RE: Delos Orlando Cole
Do you mean flowers? Here's my quick 'tutorial' that I have saved...

Virtual flowers: Click on Leave Flowers and Add Note box under the headstone picture. Find A Grave has a bunch of default flowers to pick from; however I don't like those! And I suppose many others don't either, because you'll most often see fancier ones. So, I'll tell you how to make up your own "scrapbook" of flowers for future use. When you leave flowers, you can let it default to your Find A Grave name or type in something else. You can add a note - or not.

Say you like flowers someone else left and want to be able to use it yourself in the future. Click right on the flower itself. Click on "Add this to my scapbook." It'll ask you to name the flower, but you don't have to.

I have found that if I'm looking for cool flowers, it's best to look up someone famous because they'll have A LOT to choose from! I wish someone had taught me this when I joined.

Christian Albracht
Dear Ms. Ward;

I was directed here by with a "hint" for my ancestor Christian Albrecht. I'm wondering if this could be the same person. There is no mention of parents on the Find-a-grave information, but the wife is of the same first name--I never knew her last name.

Some of the data matches up; I have the same birth year, but my ancestor was born in Waterloo, Ontario. His father, Georg Albrecht emigrated from Bavaria. The death date and place are the same.

I'm wondering if these could be the same person, or if I've got vital records data confused. There aren't many variations of the name "Albrecht". "My" Christian's mother was a woman named Maria Bauer, who died shortly after he was born. Georg was married again to Maria Hammer, and had many more children.

Thanks for any assistance or insight. Very nice work you're doing on this site.

Sharon R. Albrecht

Hi Mary,
Thanks for the edits on Florence.

I had seen that SSDI listing but didn't include it 'cause I couldn't figure out why she would have been in Michigan. I did some more searching and couldn't find anything else to contradict it; and since that whole family was very nomadic, I finally decided to accept.

Did you happen to see the 1944 & 1945 City Directories for Albany, N.Y.? Florence and Armand are listed there, and Armand's occupation at that time was Chauffeur.

I also sent you an old-style S-a-C with his burial location in Erie so you can update him from the dreaded burial unknown status. ^_^

Cheers, Rich

Lenora Bierer Wolfe # 103599076
Mary, I saw your note on the memorial for Lenora Bierer Wolfe

James Earl Bierer

looks to be the father but there is another daughter listed on his memorial,

Loretta Jean Bierer Beward

Could not find a death certificate for Lenora Bierer Wolfe or husband Earl Wolfe.

If you want to manage their memorials I would be glad to transfer. I am not related nor have any connection to the Wolfe family.

Thanks.. Michael

Jacob Bachr memorials

Memorials #121583597 and #121583600, which you created for Jacob “Bachr” who died in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in February 1901, are duplicates of an earlier memorial you created, no. 121583594, also for Jacob “Bachr,” who died in February 1901 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Jacob “Bachr” is actually Jacob Baehr, for whom a memorial already exists: no. 70006817, created 18 May 2011 by B. Sterosky. (It appears that the surname Baehr may have been mis-transcribed as “Bachr.”)
