First, Thank U for posting photo of Florence Burton Salmon's grave marker - - Englewood Cem.
Can U tell me if Englewood Cem. and Ulrich Cem. are the same place ?? Florence's Death Certif. says buried in Ulrich, MO., so I wondered. Someone else posted Florence as being buried in Ulrich Cem., but no photo.
Hope U can clear this up. - joyce

Shirley C McKenzie
RE: Medfor Cemetery, Tippah County, MS.
John Harvey did marry again. It was a 2nd marriage for her as well and I can't quite dredge up the names right now. I will give you that info tomorrow. John Harve was a very interesting man; he enlisted for the Confederacy when just a teenager, had two wives and fathered his last child in his 70s. I am good friends with his grand-daughter. She grew up in Corinth, MS. Will look fwd to more correspondence. Shirley (Cartwright) McKenzie.

Medfor Cemetery, Tippah County, MS.
Thank you for establishing this cemetery. I am a Cartwright descendant but a very interesting Cartwright, Isom Medford Cartwright, was the son of Mary Jane Medford and John Harvey Cartwright of Tippah. Isom was never diagnosed but was obviously autistic. He is known to many people still living today (I am 74) because he walked all over NE Mississippi and had a memory that leaves us in awe even today. Mary Jane's father was Jonathan Medford and I forgot to note her mother (I haven't read about them for a while). I hope to go to Tippah this fall and will photograph the cemetery. I have profited many hundreds of times by the work of others but have given little. Again, thank you for your work. Shirley (Cartwright) McKenzie, Memphis, TN.

My mom was cremated but I just made a memorial for her under Nellie Ann medford, as she never remarried after him.
I sure miss them both. Maybe they are together in heaven again. I know they both loved each other a lot. Even though they divorced he always was there for my mom till the end.

Ioor Family
I was wondering if you have any information concerning the Ioor family. I have been researching the three Ioor brothers: John, William and Raven buried at Warren Miller cemetery near Gatesville Texas. I know their brother, Thomas Ioor is buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Hall County Texas. Thomas and Cora Bell Thompson Ioor were the parents of Allie Cleo Ioor, who married Sidney Bevers. They were the parents of Robert Zane Bevers who was the first husband of Alice Pauline Breland. I would appreciate any information you might have.

Hello, I seen you message on Mr. Anglin's memorial page and wondered if you and he had been shipmates. I believe Mr. Anglin was a friend and shipmate of my father's during WWII.

I received the following correction from you regarding my memorial 78703111:

"Their suggestion:
This is a duplicate memorial. Refer to memorial 58701024 established 9/15/2010."

Your memorial was a burial unknown and was not in this cemetery when mine was added, therefore, yours was actually the duplicate and was merged into mine.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. LG

RE: George Calvert Yount
Thank you for the transfer! I will take good care of the memorial.

Are you a Yount from Cape Girardeau, MO? I am looking for the burial site of George C Yount's sister Sophia Yount Gross and her husband Christopher Gross. They were both from Cape Girardeau, MO. I have found most of their children and parents but to them, I've searched every cemetery in that county, Missouri, and the US. They are my husbands ggg grandparents.

There is only a marriage document for Sophia Yount Gross and nothing else. I was wondering if maybe you had any family members who could have old family photos of this family, The Jacob Andrew Yount Family and his children which Sophia and her brother George would be in.

If he is not a relative would you mind transferring him over to me to take good care of. He is my husbands ggg grandmother(Sophia Yount Gross) brother. I have done a lot of research on the Yount and Gross family and would love to add a lot more information and history on George C Yount. Thank you for maintaining and creating his page
