RE: Irving S. Jenney (Sawyer)
It IS very confusing!!! This stuff always boggles my mind, too!

I think (but not quite sure) that we might share a common ancestor Ebenezer Jenney, or was that Ebenezer Sawyer from whom you are descended?

I'll have to write this all down.

Irving S. Jenney (Sawyer)
What a lovely bio for your ancestor! We must be related somehow - my 3rd great-grandfather was Almon D. Jenney from Leicester, Addison Vermont. One of his daughters was Viola Livonia Jenney who happened to name HER daughter Maona Viola Mason, who was born January 8th, 1873! I always wondered where the name Maona came from - apparently it came from Irving Jenney's mother - I find it so incredibly endearing that Viola named her daughter after her.

I have posted photos of both Almon Jenney (10484662) and Maona Mason (84442052) if you are interested.

Thank you for posting this bio!

You're welcome. Sorry the lighting was so bad. If you have any more around Wallingford, VT, let me know and I'll see if I can track them down.

I have made your changes. FYI did you know the famous spinelss cactus depicted in theat photo was an experiment Luther Burbank worked on with Jack London here at the Jack London Park in Glen Ellen? We have a patch still that honors the work done even though it was a failure for what they were working towards. While the plant lived the cows chose to not eat it.

Sorry Bert but I can only correct and add to this memorial after you list the memorial number for Bert Bertino. Thanks for the added info. Glad you are enjoying the website. It is awesome!

Send me some names of who you think may be there and if I have to go again, I will look for them. It's only abt. an hour drive from me.

RE: Thomas V. Garcia
There's a lot of Garcia's in that cemetery. I think there might have been one near him but I don't know for sure. I was in "tunnel-vision" mode when looking for him.

RE: Thomas V. Garcia
You're very welcome. Last time we were down there, they were trimming trees and we couldn't get to that part of the cemetery. That's why we couldn't find it before. I'm very happy we found it for you :-)

Great. Just a day late but the snow will go away and they should be easy to find. It is not a very big cemetery. I dread the Pine Hill as it is spread all over and I often can't find the one I am looking for.

Glad to do it but that stone does not photo well. I did a little searching for Irving but did not locate anything. Last census I think I found him in Vergennes but did not find a death. Only two active cemeteries in Brandon, Pine Hill and St Mary Catholic. I do get down there some so will try and remember to look for him. Alan

Cesare Sodero

Are you related to Cesare Sodero or do you just do research on people?

Thank you

RE: Sawyers In Leicester VT
Michael...I stoppped by there to check on the stone as I had a visit to make south of has not suffered and seems to be straight. Probably my photo was a bit off kilter. The foundation rock is split and so it may have a slight inclination, but does not look like it is going to topple.

RE: Green Allen grave site
No problem Micheal,

I'll google it too, maybe I can find a hint about location of the stones. If not I'll stop by the town clerks office. I run in town and one of my routes brings me through Green Hill Cemetery, It's no big deal. I'm glad to help.

Old Settlers No Trespassing sign
Sorry to jump into your conversation about a No Trespassing sign in a cemetery in Lancaster, Mass., but I can clarify the issue. The sign about No Trespassing in Old Settlers is physically located in Middle Cemetery. From Middle, you cannot see Old Settlers, therefore people have mistakenly thought that they were standing in Old Settlers, when in fact, they were in Middle. You can imagine the confusion. All this could be avoided with a simple front gate sign for Middle, but some people move slower than molasses. So, it's appropriate that the photo of the No Trespassing sign is posted on the Old Settlers' page, just be aware that the sign is located in Middle. Hope this helps.
