I was just at Greenlawn cem after the vandalism with the dumptruck.
Comfirts stone is in an area were there is much damage. Her stone appears to be undamaged. I did take a photo of it and it had a detached stone urn laying on top of it. Is the urn part of her stone?

James H. Packard
I found that according to the plot book North of S. that James H. Packard is buried in N. of S. not Section N. I don't believe that he has a headstone there either.

John and Mary Donahue
Hi, you have posted a photo to the memorials for John and Mary Donahue. You also commented on it. On the memorial for Mary it has her born in 1860 but the grave marker has 1856. Do you know any more about her? The reason that I ask is that in my wife's gr-grandmother's belongings was a photo of the same grave marker and I don't know why. Her name was Nettie Dickinson Breedlove Betts. She was the daughter of Lawrence Rea Dickinson and Mary E Murphy and the granddaughter of Martin M Dickinson and Margaret Rea from the Urbana, Ohio area. I have no idea of what happened to her parents. Her mother was born about 1849.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ken Buttry

Your bio
I just read your bio. It is great. I feel the same way about helping others and especially when I take a photo letting them use it for whatever way they want to.

The other day someone filled one of my request for an out of state relative. On the photo they wrote copyright by ----, I was unable to use the photo for my on line family tree. My feeling is that they might as well not bothered in taking the pictures if they feel that way.

Keep up the good work.

Samuel Stroud
Hi Peter,

I appreciate your effort but it is not Samuel Stroud's gravestone, it is his wife's. It reads wife of Samuel Stroud and the death date matches his wife's death date.

Thanks for trying.

Hi, I would love to add this headstone photo to my family tree on with the photo credit to you of course. Please let me know if you object to this or to let me know how you would prefer the photo credit worded. If I do not hear from you , I will assume it is okay to use it. Thanks so much.

RE: Leffel photo request
The on-line database was dos based and not compatible with most applications. Also it was developed years ago by an individual who did not share his programming methods so now nobody knows how to convert it.

RE: Leffel photo request
Today I checked the burial record for William & Mary Leffel. They are buried side by side in the "Old" Section Lot 168.

RE: Leffel photo request
I will be at Union Cemetery on Friday and will doublecheck the Leffel grave locations. The on-line grave database is no longer active so the office needs to be contacted.
Someone did post a photo but I like your photo better.
I will let you know Friday.

Leffel photo request
There is a Union Cemetery photo request for William Leffel (65586882). Back in 2008 you provided a nicely detailed photo for his wife Mary's grave (31845713). It was unmarked but you took the time to show the location with some added graphics.
I am wondering if you still have your photo and would add the same photo for William. It would be nice for the two photos to match.
If not I will will attempt to locate the grave to provide the photo.
It was in the "Old" Section Lot 168.

I like the way you display the graves in the cemetery. With the red arrows and names, clever. Need close up of the face of the marker too. Thanks for showing this.....

RE: Marie R Shapter
Oh ya, please sumitt a photo request in a month or two when the weather is a little better, I will gladly take better pictures or special shots if I get a reminder such as a photo request and many others are racing around doing requests also so it never takes long around here! Thanks again!

Excellent, all is well. Deleted doubled mem, sorry about that. I never make doubles on purpose. Use the pictures however you want any time. 30,000 people buried on the hill so many mistakes are going to be made before it's all going correctly. Thanks for your help and all the great work you are doing!!!!

Harriet Rees Shapter
Harriet was married to a Sharp not a Shapter and I think that is where the problem is.

Thank you!
Pete, thank you so much for the photo of Susana Walters Nicholas. You gave me so much information, as the stone beside Susana I believe to be that of her sister. I know that particular piece of information will be a big help as I search for those girl's parent. Bless you for your hard work, and for the full dates you show.

Thank you so much!! You used your valuable time to do this for us and we appreciate it very much indeed. He was a very wealthy man and I thought he would have a large tombstone so was surprised.
