RE: Polly Reinhardt
The source I used on Mary Polly Matthews Reinhardt says Polly was another name. It does NOT give her parents.but says she was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina and married Adam Hoyle Reinhardt in Waleska, Cherokee county Ga on 26 Nov. 1848. I have Matthews connections from Tifton which also link to Cherokee co. So was disappointed that parents not named.

Richard Cutler
RE: R P Lackey
I noticed the 1880 census - a year before R.P. Lackey died, he was living in Milton County, GA which now no longer exist and is now 5 counties combined. I think the Bartow location came from somebody on who placed his death there and now I'm wondering since R.P. is buried in Fulton County, that's where it should be.

Errata - I just noticed that my earlier post about Newton being John L. Tippin[g]'s son. John's name is not spelled with a final "g" - my mistake.

My grandmother, Mabel Lee Tippin Cavener, was the granddaughter of Newton A. Tippin (bur. Kingston GA)and great-granddaughter of John L. Tipping, according to family oral history.

RE: Ella McCollum - Landmark
Wes, I am sorry, but have no information on the above or her husband. Most of the McCollums in Landmark Cemetery are related to one another. I have just been trying to connect my close family members, haven't ventured out to the others. However, I understand there were two McCollums family in that area and not related to one another. Wish I could be of help to you♥

Wes, sorry I duplicated your post on these two. They are my GGGGrandparents buried at Landmark Cemetery in Holly Springs.
If they aren't kin to you and you and you are willing to share I would love to have these two transferred. If that isn't possible, could you please take my information from my post about the family and add it to yours. Which ever would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Rebecca♥

RE: Berta Beatrice Beaty (Hamilton)
I appreciate your Thank You, Wes. Also wanted to let you know that Perry Hamilton (1875-1956) and Alvin Hamilton (1907-1930) are buried next to Berta. If you'll create the memorials, I'll add the photos---or if you'd prefer that I add the memorials/photos and transfer to you, am happy to do that. Just let me know.....

I also found Berta Hamilton's death record in Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ. Her husband Perry W. Hamilton is shown as a widower in 1930.

Have not located Perry W. Hamilton's grave site, but I believe he remarried Doris E.

RE: Annie Walker - Cuthbert

From my caption
"Mrs. Walker was a charter member of the Columbus GA Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonist."

Take the word "Revolution" out of your sentence as there is no such group as the "Daughters of the American Revolution Colonists." You have merged two separate groups into one! :)

Anytime. Been there and done that.

A few years ago, a friend gave me a "mess" of old DAR magazines (1970's) with all these ladies in formal attire for a formal photo...I am posting a few. My major problem is the ladies are called in the caption by their husband's name....Mrs. Jackson Cooper, for example. Figuring who SHE is a problem at times so not every one of the photos are being posted. I hate just to throw the magazines in the trash. I have checked and no one wants them. It is history.

Ann Kennedy Patton
RE: James Kennedy 1833-1880
Hi Wes,
Thanks for adding obit. I came across when searching for Hugh Kennedy b. 1790's and was living in Acworth prior to his death. His wife was from Chattanooga area. I am related to the Kennedy's in Bartow county, but only distantly. A transfer is not necessary, but I would accept if transferred. It is strictly up to you. I think this James is probably a son of Hugh, but at this point I'm not sure. The names of his children fall in line w/ those of other relatives. His occupation of Sheriff is in line w/ other Kennedy's of the time. Hugh seems to have dropped off the earth, but he will eventually turn up. Probably just hasn't been posted yet. Thanks for your help.
Best regards,

Kate Burkhart
Dear Wes,
I just got your request for correction of Kate Burkhart, wife of Calvin Peter Burkhart, a great, great uncle of mine. Can you tell me if her maiden name was Connor, and, if so, where does Whittlesey fit in? Is it her middle name and perhaps her mother's maiden name? If this is the case, I would greatly appreciate learning about her parents for both Find a Grave and my family tree, which I've been working on for nearly four yrs. (since Oct 2010). Thanks so very much. My younger sister, Nancy, is recovering from back surgery so I've not been spending much time on line the past 11 days, but am her care taker and this is her 8th back surgery. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR
P.S. Do you happen to have any pictures of her? Thank you.

RE: T J Mansfield , Cartersville GA
No, I don't. I wondered that also. I am planning to research and see if it is one of his siblings. Has me wondering if he and his wife were together when he passed away. They didn't share a tombstone anyway. If I do figure it out I will put the other names in. As far as being related it is shirt tail relation or inlaw. don't need to transfer. Thanks

I don't meet the Find A Grave criteria, but I'd be honored to maintain the memorials. It's up to you. We met at a family reunion and corresponded for several years. They were distant cousins of my husband.

Sandy Lyle
RE: Georgia Hendrick
Hi Wes,
You're right! Georgia's birth certificate does not have Cherokee Co as her place of birth, but whatever I copied from the internet and pasted to her birth certificate, did have Cherokee. I tried to find it, but had no luck. So it looks like Cherokee is an error. Sorry about that. I didn't notice the difference when I suggested the change. I did find something about her death from the Dept of Commerce and posted it. Thanks for pointing out the error. Sandy
