|Darlene||Enoch Riley McMann|
Jan, would you please add Enoch's parents to his Memorial #22003770. His father was Reuben McMahan, Memorial 26675796 (buried in Hamilton County, IL in the New Prospect Cemetery. His mother was America McElvain McMahan, Memorial 26675787. He was their son even though he chose to spell his surname McMann. I was told he changed the spelling to McMann because his mail was getting mixed up with another McMahan. Enoch was my father's great-uncle and my parents visited with Enoch and his wife in Missouri.I descend from his sister, Nancy Hannah McMahan Scott. Thank you.

Thank you for taking your time to look for his grave. Perhaps he is unmarked or the headstone gone if there had been one. I wonder who to contact about cemetery records there just to see if he there.

Can you confirm the headstone error. His date of birth from genology and other data has a totally different date that is years apart. Similar to your attached story on his page. Thank you for your time he was my 2nd great-grandfather.

I would be just as happy to transfer. I am not related at all. Just let me know.

|Donald E. Riise||Morgan Byrne|
Hi Jan Farrenburg
Morgan Byrne was born in Wexford county Ireland in
1769....as a result of being on the losing side
of the 1798 to 1799 Vinegar Hill related battles in
SE Ireland (I visited there in March 2012)
I will visiting New Madrid, Mo. for the very first time approx Oct 17 thru Oct 20.
I am interested to know more about children of Morgan and Jane Green Byrne...your find a grave
shows a Luke, Mary....???
My direct ancestor is another son, Napolean Bonaparte Byrne who went with his immediate family
to Berkeley California by covered wagon in 1859.
Please advise what you know about the "other children" of Morgan.....Thanks in advance.

Ahh! That makes sense then. Why not put a note about that for future finders. Most would not contact you & find out & assume as I did that it was the tombstone of William Ruddle. These old stones are so valuable. And they are a very frustrating family to research in that area.

Thank you Jan for adding these memorials with the tombstone pictures. Very valuable to have.

Jan, the tombstone for Memorial #84472761 shows his name is Wm (William) Ruddle and that he was born about 1810. Please show these on the memorial.

Thank you so much for the speedy reply and the great photograph of Melba's headstone. We are finding several errors in our Memory Book and are trying to get them corrected. Thanks.

|Marsha Holder||Melba Lindsey|
Hi Jan, you just posted a veterans headstone for Melba Sue Lindsey at Evergreen Cemetery. I just want to double check this location. In a Memory Book published after our 2001 Vietnam Women Veteran Conference, it was reported that Melba was buried at New Madrid Cemetery. National grave locator gave the Evergreen Cemetery. I just want to confirm with you that she is indeed buried at Evergreen. I am part of a team writing a book about the women who served in Vietnam that were not nurses. Melba will be remembered in that book. She had an outstanding military career. Thank you for posting her headstone. Cricket

I am wondering if you could tell me a little bit about William A. Ferrenburg. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=ferrenburg&GSmid=46595255&GRid=17328065&
I think he's the William Alexander Ferrenburg that would be the brother of my 5th great-grandma, Nancy Ellen Ferrenburg. I want to make sure though, since the birth month we have for him is September not December. I assume our records our just wrong especially because Hannah Jane Trowbridge who I found on here is also listed as a sister-in-law to Nancy. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=ferrenburg&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GSsr=1&GRid=17328367&df=all&
What I am really looking for are their parents graves, and who their maternal grandparents are.
Who I have for their parents are John Ferrenburg and Nancy Ann Nagle.
Any and all information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly, Jessie
(since I don't know how this findagrave message thing works - if you can't message me back on here, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks.)
