|G E Donnadieu Murphy||zumwalt, Adam|
Thank you for the information on the Zumwalt family. I'm related to the Zumwalt through their daughter, Caroline, that married William Owen Burnam(#34522269). Caroline and William would be my gg-grandparents. Would it be possible to link them? Thanks. Grace Donnadieu Murphy

|Ronnie McCarrell||Adam Zumwalt& family|
A few days ago while doing research for a friend I had cause to go to the Slayden Zumwalt Cemetery and noticed the great work that you had done the on behalf of your family. While trying to determine the oldest marker there I read your bio for Adam "Red" Zumwalt. What a great story, the history should be preserved. If you have time you could google the Whon Cemetery in Coleman County in Find A Grave and scroll down to the picture I took of their historical marker. When you double click on it you see how wonderful it is... The Zumwalt family deserves the same. I am clueless and its easy for me to say somebody else ought to do something but I was wondering if Gonzales County has a Historical Commission that would be interested in this...best of luck & I will mind my own business now...Ronnie Mc
PS: The cemetery is grown up with grassburrs and stickers making it impossible to walk around right now...

|Linda ||Parents of William Bailey Hines|
The parents of William Bailey Hines are William W Hines and Burchet Ann Stevens. William W was born abt 1834 in GA & died 05 Sep 1862 in Homer, Claiborne, LA. He was a member of 31st Regiment, Louisiana Infantry COMPANY: E, CSA. I believe the record said he died from the measles. Burchet Ann was born 1836 in MS. I do not know when or where she died. Last record I have on her is 1870 Claiborne Parish, LA census. I have info on William W & Burchet Ann's parents. William W was a brother of my gg grandmother.

Thanks so much for the story on Sam Tyree's arm.
You have answered a lot of question that keep arising about the arm.

I am a Find-A-Grave volunteer. I live in La Salle County. The arm of Samuel B. Tyree is buried in the Millett in La Salle County. Do you know any of the circumstances of the loss of his arm and why it was buried in the Millett Cemetery?

|Susie||Catherine Allen McQuinn|
I should have included this in my last message but do you happen to know where Catherine AKA Cattie McQuinn (if this is the correct spelling) is buried. She lived next door to LouVisa Patton at the time of the 1910 Census and Joseph was living with LouVisa. Catherine is one of Joseph's daughters. She apparently left Ky after some very difficult times, according to some of my research. I wonder if she is also buried in or around Perry Co Arkansas. The spelling of McQuinn may be the problem. It is definately her married name but I think there may be several spellings and I haven't found the right one!

|Susie||Joseph B Allen|
Thank you so much for your reply. Joseph was the first name that i had entered as i just found the web site on Sunday night. I got a hit on the first name I entered! We were in Newton Co last fall and found Fanny's grave but not Joseph's. I found him later on the 1910 census and wondered if he was buried in Perry county. Now I know. Thomas Higgins Allen's daughter Lizzie is my paternal grandmother. I have been researching her family tree. I have no pictures from the Allen side of the family and can't find out who has them so this picture is a real treasure. I did finally figure out the family line that you were from late yesterday. Again, thanks so much for answering me.

|Susie||Joseph B Allen|
My question is if this Joseph B Allen is from Breathitt Kentucky and related to Martha Cowan.She would be his daughter.
I am related to a Joseph B Allen through his son Thomas Higgins Allen DOB 25 Apr 1852. The one that I am related to was married to Fannie Hagins Allen who is buried in Buckhorn Cemetery in Newton County Arkansas.
Thank you so much. If this is the correct person I am looking for, this would be the only picture I would have of that family.
