I received your email about my memorial 136972514 being a duplicate. I now see that however the creator of this original memorial did so days before this man passed away. That violates Find A Grave rules. Because of this I have contacted administrators and asked them what they would like me to do. Thanks ~john

RE: Letchworth Village Cemetery
You posted a photo for the cemetery, so I'm assuming you know where it is.

If you can find the spot on Google Maps, right-click on it, then select "What's Here?" That will give you the coordinates.

Wynne grave in Calvary
Thanks for taking the photo the Wynne grave in Calvary and for documenting the death of Corp. James J. Wynne who was killed in France in World War I. What a tragedy to lose such a young man.

All the people in the grave are grouped together here:

I just wanted to let you know that I added a photo to a memorial that you created. Perhaps it is a relative of yours? Thomas Murray, who died 28 May 1936.

RE: Isaak Bibo
Good Morning,

I would guess that "Florence" is Florence Marmor?

I a read an article she wrote for Jewishgen.org on Mokom Sholom after I discovered Isaak and Veronica and the cemetery last week.

Thank you for passing along my interest to her.

I'll just keep all this tucked away in the back of my brain and see if I can come up with any cunny plan :)

I am discovering/making contact with unexpected relations all the time in the last few months, maybe I can connect with some in New York :)

Peace and Joy,
joann

RE: Isaak Bibo
You are the second person this week who has kindly written to me re genealogy while on vacation.

The "kindness of strangers" is always a joy for me.
Thank you, again.

And do you know of any organization that is working on the restoration of the Mokom Sholom Cemetery.
Although I'm on the other side of the continent, I'd like to help if I could.

Have a wonderful vacation.

peace and joy,
joann

RE: Isaak Bibo
As with Veronica, I very well may be related to Isaak as well. But as with Veronica, I have not had a chance to really research it.

But I have found that Bibo is even more uncommon than Schluchter. It's a small "tribe" :)

Again, I just wanted to tend his "grave site" and to some how recognize the Mokom Sholom Cemetery as well.

Peace,
joann

John O'Brien
I was looking through the listing of Pelham Cemetery when I noticed two memorials for John O'Brien. It was submitted early in 2009 by someone else, and yours was submitted at the end of that year. Just FYI

RE: Alexander Cohen
Trinity eh? At one time was trying to match up the list of people from a newspaper listing (very basic) at St. John's Cemetery (now James J. Walker Park) with the places they were moved to when the markers, and hopefully the people, were moved before it was "en-parked" or "de-graved". Maybe "destroyed" is just a good enough word.

I found some at Evergreen and some at Green-wood but too many of the names were generic. So not looking for anyone in particular but am still curious as to how many from the St. John's list were removed to Trinity -- I found a couple possibilities.

Gave up on it and moved on, but the project still feels incomplete...as it always will be of course.

Have fun!

RE: Max Strum
I believe they are the same person indicated, but I've deleted my entry.

This would be the Max Strum who is interred with Yetti, age 2, right?

I saw the death index has only two Max Strums but that's not always definitive so I was not quite up to taking the plunge on the dates, but I would agree it looks correct.

Funny about just now getting to photos taken in 2013...me too! I am unsure how many are on my aux drive, but at least 20,000... Not all are gems worth posting, though. I keep getting side-tracked..!
