Rachel, well thank you for the nice words, and THANK YOU for doing your part on findagrave!
I meant to say also that I went to Ancestry, found only one Family Tree on them, but I did go back with the census to 1880, which I put on James Marion Forgus memorial. I didn't try to go farther back, because I wasn't sure who his fathe was for sure.
I love researching, but sometimes there isn't enough information to be sure it is the right person!

Rachel, all the information that I have came from the Stonewall County book. I don't have any further information, except what others have entered at findagrave.
I have nearly worn out my Stonewall county book , trying to help with others researching their Stonewall County families.
Evidently, Maggie was married twice. I don't know if she married again after James died, but she is buried as Forgus, so he must have been her last husband. Here is what someone else sent me.
Maggie Dalrymple married R. S. Nowell in Hunt Co, Texas 30 Sep 1880. Maggie V Nowell married J. M. Forgus 25 Dec 1894 in Henderson, Texas.

I think that was someone else that transfered to you. But I have been researching that family a little bit.
I'm glad you got the transfer.

Forgus Stonewall and Bell County Texas
James Forgus married Susie SHARP in 1874. They lived in Bell County until their move to Stonewall County in 1889. They had a daughter, Gertie. James William "Bill" Forgus was born to them in 1881. He was married to Martha Elizabeth "Bessie" Avery. James William "Bill" Forgus was a Deputy Sheriff at the time of his death in 1921.

Lounetta "Nettie" Forgus Anderson was born to James Marion and Susie Sharp Forgus in 1879. Susie Sharp Forgus died in 1883 from childbirth, as did the infant. (They are buried together.)

James then married Sally A. Patton in 1885. They had Zella, Mae and George and Johnny Aspermont Forgus. They moved by oxcart to Aspermont in 1889.

James was a blacksmith, and altho he was not a doctor he would administer to the sick around the country. He served Stonewall county as one of the first Justices of the Peace and was a county Commisioer.
