RE: Dewy Holder Tombstone Picture
Hello Don,
Are you any kin to my Grandma Lizzie Holder Reynolds #130263292 in Eagletown cemetery ? You will notice her Dad is listed as Mark D. Holder to which his name is Mark V. Holder , Even though in the family Bible it was listed as Mark D. I saw a letter he wrote great Grandma Ellen Ella B.Tyler? Holder in 1889 signed as Martin VanBuren Holder.
In your Holders in Texas site a Sidney is listed tha Mark V. Holder was a Sidney., I know that on the Reynolds side Grandma Lizzie's husband Earl W. Reynolds had a Dad named Sidney Reynolds. To which I have found a land record that shows a Sidney getting land around Gilllham, Arkansas, And A Sidney in McAlaster, Oklahoma I think in 1910, Do you have a Facebook? If you are kin I have Ancestry tree going. Trying to get it right, would love to be able to turn into a Book by end of this year.

Dewey Holder

This is what I have been told on Dewey, He is listed as a nephew to Lizzie Holder Reynolds husband. Earl W. Reynolds in a census before he moved to Texas. His parents drowned in a Wagon when he was a little Boy. He moved to Texas and a lady by the name Billie Mcellory followed him there and had him sign over all his stuff to Dora Holder ( lizzie's sister) and he burned up in a fire. Billie was married to Grandma Lizzie's sisters son.And she caused alot of problems in the family. That is all I know and have been told.

William's connection
Hello, I come from Harriet Holder Clark and I was wondering if there is any documentation of the connection of William's son being Fielding Holder? I am also looking for documentation on Fielding Holder's wife, Jael. I have their marriage but I need a documentation of her death, burial and place of death. Would you be able to help me on that?

Thank you for your time,
Teri Forsyth

the only Charles Holder I can find on Ancestry.com that was born on that date, state, county, states the parents as Charles W. Holder (b: 1890, MS) and Pearl Holder (b: 1897, MS).

RE: County Line Cemetery Location
Don, responding to a request for a picture of a stone in the County Line Cemetery landed me in such a controversy that I don't even like to talk about it. The cemetery is located on FM 1971 north of Caldonia and south of Lake Murvaul. It is located in Rusk County, about 100 yds. from the Panola County line. I don't know who entered the information that it is located in Eulalie. There is a church near the cemetery, but I didn't see anything that looked like a community or a town. Hopefully this information will help you.

Richard Parker
Pitchford Cemetery
Good Day Donald,

According to the book: ALLEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY CEMETERIES AND GRAVEYARDS REVISITED, by Martha Jackson and Jimmie Jones, 1983, Pitchford and John Whitney, Jr. are two different cemeteries.

The only name connecting the two is Herman Whitney. You tombstone photo shows Herman buried in Pitchford but the cemetery books states he is buried in John Whitney, Jr. Confussing!

I did find a H. Seaborn Austin listed for Pitchford and I added a memorial for this person. A Peggy Whitney is also listed for Pitchford and I will let you record her.

As for Herman, I will let you decide which cemetery he is buried in.
