Thank You!
My sincere thanks to you Jan for photographing and posting the headstone at my uncle's gravesite.
(Leslie Raphael Gillis). It has taken me many years to locate his burial place and to now have this photo is wonderful.

His wife, my aunt Esma Bailey Gillis is also buried at the same place. Would it be possible to get a photo of that store as well?

Thank you for taking the picture of me great uncle's marker at Beufort National Cemetery. I will share that with my family. At his mother's grave in New York there is a marker showing his place of death.

It is "mis-written in stone" ... LOL ... that coupled with red tape ... all part of "mis-history".

John A. Aiello
Dear Jan ...
Thank you for the excellent photograph of Sgt Whitaker's marker. He was a hard find as he is listed with the last name as Whittaker on the marker and it is Whitaker by birth. It is used both ways in his military records. The middle initial is listed as C, J, L, T and P through out the files. John Thomas Whitaker is his birth name and how people would be searching for him, so that is how I titled the memorial. I'll be whiting his bio and hope to add a picture very soon. Thanks again for the photograph.
