Hi Thank you for your quick reply. I may have been readin articles about Edmund on genealogy bank; There were articles about him posted in South Carolina papers, and later there are some Wellborns who were undertakers. So when I saw they were from SC, I thought maybe......

I did find an Edward Carter that was in Missouri later on and he turned out to be the Grandson of my Edward Carter.

My Edward carter married margaret Elizabeth Hughes they had 7 children but only five lived. He has many cousins in South Carolina but the family refers to them as cousins even though I have not yet found the link. I'll keep searching. Thank you, Cat
