|Jean Pinick||Old Rehoboth Cemetery|
I was at the cemetery this past summer and took photos of several of the stones. I was noticing that when I went to put them on that a lot were already on. Your photo for Rebecca A Bostick is in much better shape then the one I took. I can't believe there was that much difference in 10 years. Although several of the Bosticks were in better condition now then when they were taken. Thought I would let you know your photo was great. I have done this myself for probably 40 years all over the US and I appreciate a good photo. Thanks for your efforts.

You're quite welcome. Pheobe Jane Vannest Young is my ggg grandmother, so we are related. I would normally have offered to meet you and show you where it is, but I have a knee/legg immobilizer on so I'm not able right now. Your older relatives were correct about there not being a road to the cemetery. It is more of a farm path across creek, through field and up hill. One can drive it in a truck with permission or it would also be walkable. Have a good evening!

Yes, I was there about 5 years ago, before I knew about find a grave. She is buried in the Thomas Family Cemetery off Tug Fork. It is located on the Old Enoch C Thomas farm.
From I-77, take the Fairplane exit. Turn onto Rt 21 North towards Ripley. At first light, turn right by Burger King onto Cedar Lakes Drive. Drive approx. 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Tug Fork Road. Drive approx. 2.7 miles. Cemetery is on private property, on the right across creek, through field and up on hill. When I went there a few years ago, a nearby property owner, Joe Casto, took my Dad and I up the hill. At that time, the cemetery was very well maintained. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 304-273-0935 or email.

|Cheryl Ayres||Re: Drummond, Drummond-Folden|
I must say you know quite a bit about the area. Is the Drummond-Folden cemetery up a hill with rough terrain? The reason I ask is the obituary states Drummond Hill Cemetery. It could be the cemetery index could be wrong but being that in both cemeteries it states there are unmarked graves, it would be very hard to know for sure which one she could be in. The thing is there are a few Tiptons in Drummond-Folden & none except Selena in Drummond cemetery. This should be straightened out, the cemetery index states she is buried in Drummond-Folden. Someone else may come along & create a memorial for her in Drummond-Folden. Very confusing situation.

Drummond-Folden is on Peter Cave Road, Drummond is off of Lincoln Pike Road.

Gallia Co. cemetery index has Celena buried in Drummond-Folden. This could the reason why you didn't find a stone. It is very easy to confuse the 2 cemeteries, sometimes I have found on death certificates they just say Drummond but are buried in Drummond-Folden. I hope this helps.

Had fun Monday at the cemetery. My husband spent the day with me helping me. A man at the cemetery office gave me maps to most of the sections about 150 or so. Some maps printing to small to read to but the Section your Great Grand mother was in was fairly easy to read. My husband took our lawn trimmer with us and trimmed so that I could get a good picture for you.

|Richard Parker||RE: Jemima Kessell|
If my memory serves me correctly, the first wife died in 1868. Question: how could the second wife died 1851 when the first wife was still alive. The marriage record of the second wife, 1870, bears out the death of the first wife.
I know that old tombstones can be difficult to read. Could the death date be 1871 instead of 1851?
I just know that the way the memorials are set up now, the timeline doses not work.
The fact that can't be overlook is the 1870 marriage record which confirm the second marriage and tells us that Jemima was alive in 1871.
I know that this dosen't help much but you will have to make the final decision.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble in addressing this.

You might want to add this for location. I found it in an old listing. It may be confusing but better than no location at all. :)

|George Paul Farris||Walter Neal, Jr.|
On a search for a Neal, I happened upon your work for Walter Neal, Jr. (Find A Grave Memorial# 10922807).
At present I can ascertain no connection between Walter and the Nathan Neal for whom I was searching. However, I was very impressed with the quality of your research and your presentation of Walter's memorial page.
Thank you very much for your contributions to the preservation and recording of the micro-history you so ably present to the community at large.
Regards & thanks,

I have taken the biggest percentage of the stones at Flag Springs. My mother is buried there. If you want to go through the list and make some changes, please do. You have done an excellent job adding the graves to Find A Grave. There are a few stones on which I can't make out the names and a few more I didn't find. Next time I'm out I will have definite ones to look for. I love doing this. Thanks.
