Sherry, I feel quite certain about the changes I suggested. But let me go back into my notes for the family and I will get back with you. Thanks for your attention to detail, and for all you have done to preserve the resting places for so many people.

|Cathy Meder-Dempsey||RE: James Hill|
I appreciate all the work done by serious Find A Grave contributors.
I did not find a single record with middle initial L. To back up the photo of the marker with James I. Hill, the records show he often went by Isaac. When he married in 1903 his name was Isaac Hill (Missouri Marriage Records, 1805-2002). In 1880, 1900, and 1910 census he was seen as Isaac, in 1910 and 1920 as J. I., in 1940 as J. Isaac. His Missouri death record shows James I. Hill. Shirley Haynes & Avlyn Conley read Miami Cemetery and have him listed as James I. Hill. Their compilation is online at https://dcms.lds.org/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE3514495.
Thank you very much for the correction and pointing out the possibility of it being contested.

|April Suggs||RE: Hi|
My Sandy Hill, I have VA,some have KY..must remember that those 2 states,weren't always 2 states.. 10/15/1799-01/31/1867, s/o Isaac Hill,and Mildred Hines..Sandy married his wife in Barron co., Kentucky, like 6 of their children was born in KY,his father died in KY, aft his death Mildred traveled to MO.. According to Richard he is related to my lines,so if your Hill lines are connected to him, they connect to mine. Also, Sandy was an unusual name, I've only seen it in the Hill lines out of VA,KY,and MO.

|Doreen Johnson||RE: Scovil/Scovill/Scoville|
I'm so so sorry to hear you lost some of your genealogy information when your computer crashed. Did you share the information with any cousins electronically? If so that would be one way to get some of the data back. Perhaps you have a gedcom file out there that you've forgotten about. I have quite a lot of Scovil/Scovill/Scoville information that I'd be happy to share with you. Most of it is from other researchers and not all of it is well documented but it might be a start. If you can tell me some names you recall I'll see if they are in my database.
Thank you for transferring Charles Orlando Scovill and Emily Snow Scovill over to me. I appreciate it very much.

Dear Sherry, I noticed your sarcastic remark about others using your pictures without permission and thought I'd write a note. I am not condemning you in any way because I used to feel the same way until I really thought about it. Then I put a note on my bio that anyone can use my pictures. Why? Well... are they really YOUR pictures? Unless you took them they are not. They are your ancestor's pictures. And why do we really put them on this or other public sites? To share knowledge. Knowledge and CORRECT information or at least as correct as we know. I would rather others have my photos (that were handed down to me or that I took) and my information (that I figured out)to share with their families ...probably my kinfolk, rather than be like two cousins that I have come across that would not share ANYTHING with me even though I had shared everything with them. Also, pictures/information not shared are like a family that I know of that just threw all their ancestors' pictures away....such a loss! And last, the reason I volunteer for Find A Grave is to "Pay it forward" for all the sharing others did for me in years past. To put out information others may not have the opportunity to find on their own. I WANT them to find the memorials I have created and enjoy the information AND the pictures! So I hope I haven't stepped on your toes, I just wanted to tell you my view. Have a wonderful Blessed day! Mary

I noticed the flowers on Harry P Scovill and Elvira Andrews Scovill. Just wondering if you are related in some way. If so we are cousins. Elvira's husband Hiram is the brother of my 2nd great grandfather Charles Orlando Scovill. If we are related I'd love to know!!!

Thanks so much for the pretties you left on daddy's memorial.
So wonderful to visit and find special pretties like you left for him.
Wanted to tell you, as soon as I'm able to link my gr gr grpa to his parents or siblings I'll be able to link back to the Mayflower also. We as a family know the link is there but just have to document it. Wild to run across a Find A Grave member with that lineage also!!

I have no idea. I wish that cemeteries would more often post a way to make donations and get on a mailimg list. Maybe some area funeral homes could advise.

|Don Williams||RE: Request for Transfer|
Hi Sherry, A Woman named "Pattie" created a memorial for William E Smith (Find A Grave Memorial# 158039945) who is William Ross Smith's father. So I am not sure what "SENIOR" you are talking about since they do not share the same middle name. But since I am a friend of the family I know for sure that WES is the father of WRS. Pattie transfered William E Smith to me and after that was done, Cindy (daughter of WES and sister to WRS asked if I could control her brother's monument also. That is the reason for the request. I appreciate your offer for transferring both but I am not sure what SENIOR you speak of at this time. Thank you again for consideration of this request.

|Don Williams||Request for Transfer|
Hi Sherry, This may be a second request as I am not sure the one I tried to send yesterday actually got sent. Request transfer of William Ross Smith (Find A Grave Memorial# 8996632) to me. WRS is the son of my recently departed friend, William E Smith (Find A Grave Memorial# 158039945). WES and I flew together as combat helicopter pilots in Vietnam. Cindy (daughter of WES) asked me if I could also maintain her brotherís memorial. I told her that I would ask.
I appreciate any consideration you give this request. If you need to contact me please email me at CobraCaptain@earthlink.net.
