I found and transferred the three memorials you requested. If you run upon any Hill family that moved to CA. around the time of the Donner wagon train or really right before that failed passage, I like to know. My Sister-in-law was a Hill from that branch. Marlene

|Maria Williams Murrah||RE: Hi Sherry|
Believe it or not, all the Murrah's are related. Their used to be a man who was from Texas who traveled state by state recording all Murrah addition's. The last time he came was when my daughter was 2. That was 29 years ago. You can look up his tree online. I will see if I can find the link to it. It is huge.

|Maria Williams Murrah||Hi Sherry|
My name is Marie Williams Murrah. I know a lot about the Murrah family tree. Marjorie Shumpert Murrah died on July 8. Her funeral is tomorrow. You have left flowers on several of my relatives graves. Thank you. I don't get on here much but had to send in some corrections to this site. Baby girl Murrah stillborn at Ebenezer PHC actually died in 1960. The stone was never corrected. She was my husbands older sister. Her name would have been Constance Ruth Murrah. I can help with the Murrah side if you like. Marie

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Great news. Tina is a cutie. I wish my Roman lived that long. He had breathing problems. I miss his white furry face.

Hi Sherry, do you have a memorial page for Tina, who is mentioned on Toby's memorial page?

Just FYI, I added his wife and only other Hill on this plot is an infant so must be theirs.
The family plot is his wife and her father and mothers family.

Thank you for visiting dear Brenda. It means a lot to me that people take the time to visit her for her Angel Day and for visiting my other memorials.

Sherry - So nice to "meet" you as well. Isn't technology great. Without this website and Ancestry.com, I don't know how I would have ever been able to "connect" with other cousins - much less know what happened to them. Laura was my 1st cousin 4X removed, so she was probably no-one I would have ever heard about, but now, it's so great to be able to search (and often, find) the long-lost relatives.
Thanks for your mention of the connection with the creator of Thomas Geer(s)' memorial. I hope there is some information about his wife, Matilda. As I mentioned earlier, the last trace I can find of her was in the 1885 Kansas State Census where she and Thomas were living with their son, William.
I have discovered the "whereabouts" of this William (Find-A-Grave memorial # 107381355). Unfortunately, he seems to have died without any family members and had been living in the Jackson County, KS home for the aged/infirm. Upon his death in 1936, he donated his body to science through the College that operated in the area (I can't recall the name at this time). His death certificate is available through the Missouri Secretary of State's website. His death certificate indicates that no one knew his parent's names or their birth locations. How Sad!! You may want to connect with that memorial as well since he would be another of your cousins too!
Please stay in touch. I hope we are able to place Thomas and Matilda together again as a family and link their children to them as well.

|Mark Gentry||Laura Elizabeth Geer Scovill Robbins Eby|
Hello Sherry - Thank you so much for the memorial you created for Laura Elizabeth Geer Scovill Robbins Eby (Memorial # 9421365). I believe she is my 1st cousin 4 X removed. She was born in Kentucky (12/12/ 1845-1847) to Thomas and Matilda Patterson Geer(s). My research into the Geer(s) family has led me to Kansas in search of my long-lost KY relatives and you seem to have found one of them!! I have suggested an edit fot the Father of Laura (Thomas Geer - Memorial # 100097118) however, I have been unable to find her mother (Matilda Patterson Geer). The last time I was able to find her was in an 1885 Kansas State Census living in Ward 5 of Wyandotte County, KS with her husband Thomas and a son, William. (Unfortunately the transcription of the record shows their surname as Greis, due to poor handwriting I'm sure). Would you happen to have any record of Matilda (possibly listed as Mattie) after 1885?
Again, thank you for your assistance.

It's okay. I wasn't feeling the best because I have been compiling databases of murdered children and I am feeling a little sensitive anyway. There are so MANY and so many with no memorials at all. It is upsetting and I am getting obsessed. I didn't mean to upset you!!!
Peace out! If you need anything, let me know. I think we have a Scovill Hill Cemetery here in town (Bloomington, IL) and I was wondering if any of them are your Scovills? I don't exactly live there but it is nearby and if you'd like, I would be happy to go over there and see what I can find. Please, accept my apologies.

I can't seem to find it now but it was a child's page. I shouldn't have said anything because it is something a lot of people do on here: create a memorial and then tell others what they may or may not post there. Memorials that are owned by this website too, so that is another issue I guess? Anyway, sorry again do what thou wilt.
No hard feelings, hopefully.
