|Chuck Nowotny||Son's and Grandsons of Daniel Houghton|
I have a bunch of information on Horatio G. the son of Liberty Elijah Holmes (L.E.H.) Houghton and his wife Jane Elizabeth West. I've just noticed your posts from 2009 and just this moment discovered your Find A Grave participation.
I think your email is valid as I've sent some inquiries your way by A.com and by the Genealogical sites where you've posted.
You can find me at Cnowotny@msn.com and I am looking forward to sharing my stories and discoveries.

You are most welcome. I sent you a better picture of Carolyn's stone if you wish to use it. There was already one there and I don't like to step on someone's toes, but you can. Please feel free to post it if you want.

|Rita Jean Arnold||BIO|
Hi Leah! I read your BIO and am glad you came back. I don't know you. However, you are doing a good job and findagrave needs more like you. Yes. There are some really "ugly" people on here. And that is sad. Those kinds of people must be really unhappy. I can only pity them and I do. However, for every one of them, there must be at least a thousand more who are really wonderful, helpful, and doing the same thing we are--honoring those who have gone on before us and learning so much about our own roots at the same time. Keep up the good work!

|dick hemenway||RE: Lilian Isbell|
I got lucky on this one as Lilian is buried in the Spring lot under Spring, and not Isbell. Her grave is on the edge of the rough woods, heavy with white pines, that surrounds most of this cemetery. It is in an older, back part of the cemetery, a long way from the entrance on a slight rise. It is really a very pretty area in a rough way. The infant Poulan's stone is badly tilted, but is right beside his mother, in fact it is tilting towards her. I can send you photos of the area if you would like.
I could not find Chester at all, and I am wondering if he might be in Hillside Cemetery with his father. If you can check further, I would be happy to take the photos if we can locate the stone.

|Carol STEVENS||Taking a "break"|
Hi Leah, is your "break" over, yet ?
There seems to be very few rude people on Findagrave and it's the millions of wonderful people like you that make this a nice place to visit and to add our relatives and find new family all over the place. I see your name in some of the places my family is buried, so we might be family. If I can help you with anything, just let me know.

|Dennis Davis||RE: Lake Houghton's marker|
You're very welcome, Leah. I really don't play favorites, but am happy to have fulfilled several requests for you. Rose Hills Cemetery is very huge, but they have terrific on-line help. You can go to their website and find the location of any of their interred. The Houghton's were in one of the many mausoleums at the cemetery and I had to ask which one at the front desk. I was given a map of the mausoleum (because it is also very big) and the rest was easy. I hadn't been in that mausoleum before so it was a treat for me. Thank you for sending me there.
Enjoy the Holidays.
