I just read that the county officials have undertaken the task of excavating the grave in the middle of the road in johnson county namely nancy kerlin barnetts grave! They have also found bones of possibly 7 different people in the mound. Is there anyone who knows family decendants that can be informed of this? See the articlel at link: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/06/14/archaeologists-7-bodies-indianas-grave-middle-road/85876944/

With a burial being expected to be a final resting place, it is an outrage to read that somones grave has been disturbed!

Nancy is an ancestor of this memorials person

First, thanks for all the great work you do for Find a Grave. For those of us who do not live near our ancestors' graves, you are a life saver!

Regarding: John Milton Burt's bio. At the top of his page, Parents are listed as unknown.

Then, in Family Links, you have them listed with active link to their info.

It's not a big deal, just thought you might want to know.

Bryan,
Do you know who the headstones next to Jesse's are? Are they children of the Hugheses?
Thanks,

RE: Martha Dunham obituary
Thank you! I recently purchased a subscription to newspapers.com and have been a crazy person in re-typing obits.

I realize some obits may contain errors but they also provide pertinent information. Always looking for the needle in a haystack - LOL!

Thanks again,
Bev

Samuel Pavey - Memorial #: 8889377
Hi, Bryan!

I believe that this is my 6x great grandfather, and I am working on a paper trail to prove lineage. I see that you have a lot of family information in the memorial, and I am wondering where you got it and if you have any kind of back-up. Is Samuel an ancestor of yours? I would appreciate any information you may have.

Thanks a lot!

Hey, Bryan, This is Marie Browning, a wonderful lady who went out of her way to help me with my beginning genealogy - both sides of my paternal line. I have run across this a few times where a woman is buried with her first husband. Am unsure how to handle the name. Any ideas ? Pat

The date on the headstone appears to read June 2, 1883 or 1888. However, the date given in the memorial is Apr. 4, 1896. Was the age 65y 2m 2d?

I mistakenly told you that her name was Sena. Oma Kegley's full name was Leoma or M. Leoma depending on what document you are looking at. Lorraine

Kegley Family
Mr Murphy - I have to tell you that I work around in www.findagrave.com a good deal. Looking for photos and burial records, obits and such. I have not however, at any time that I can remember right off, found quite as comprehensive organization of graves, headstones and links as you have completed on the Dr John Lewis Kegley family. It is totally awesome!!

I know how exhaustive this type of documenting can be, having done some of it myself, but you sir have demonstrated exactly how it should be conducted.

Thank you so very much for all you hard work, it is a tribute to this family as well as to generations to come! I admire your patience!!

Have a beautiful weekend and thanks again for the way you care !!

Noticing your photos on his memorial, I wanted to let you know that the large granite memorial has been set upright. I also have a bit closer of a photo of the marble headstone, although your recordings of the transcription are accurate. I am willing to post the photo that I have of the marble headstone, but I am not able to since the maximum amount of free photos has been reached for this memorial.

Bryan - I just posted photos of the gaves of the Higbee family in Cedar Hedge Cem, Rising Sun, Ohio Co., IN.

If there are any others you need taken in this cemetery let me know it's only 7 miles from home, and is fairly FLAT. :-)

Mary Elizabeth Jane Zaring Dresslar
Hello Bryan,
Are you related to the Dresslars?

I have a little baby boy - # 52218291 George W. Dresslar born 1867 and died 11 May 1869 at 1 yr 4 mo 3 days, SON of J.B. & M.E.J. Dresslar. He is at Salem Cemetery, Sec G Row 9 Stone 28.

I was wondering if Mary Elizabeth Jane Zaring Dresslar 1836-1874 and Jacob B. Dresslar 1834-1899 would be his parents.

I looked on Mary's Memorial and there is no mention of a George W. but at the same time he could have been born just before the last child given. Could it be possible he has been overlooked? Mary Elizabeth Jane was the only one in Salem with 3 names and the initials match up M.E.J. Dresslar & husband J.B. which this Jacob B. would be his father.

I am not related, but would like to link him to his parents if I can find them. Just curious and thought I would ask.

Lelia Johnson Surface #15538079
Bryan,
I am tracing this Johnson family. Lelia's parents are Robert J. Johnson, born England and Mary Emily or Emma Oakley, born KY. They are in White River 1880-1920 but I haven't found a Find A Grave posting for them. Thought you could add Lelia's parents names to her memorial as you have "unknown". She had three sisters: Elizabeth Johnson Tresslar (my line)#81758524; Iva Fulmer and Martha "Mattie" Kegley.
Thanks for your posting..
