Albert Starnes
Richard lynn Starnes #27330917
Hi Matthew,

While I was doing some research on Find a Grave, I came across a listing for Richard Lynn Starnes #27330917 where you added a picture of him. Are you related to this family? I am trying to trace information on his father, Pinkney Starnes Jr. and his father Pinkney Starnes Sr. Pinkney Starnes Sr. is my great grandfather and I am trying to learn more about the family. I have always seen them listed in all family documentation as Pinkney A. Starnes, but have never seen what the middle name actually is. However, I noticed that on Find A Grave it lists it as "Alexander". I was always under the impression that the "A" was for "Albert"; which is my name, my father's name and my grand father's name.

Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have a lot of information myself which I can share with you if interested.

RE: Weaver photos
They are not listed in the 1929 DAR Reading ... so I assume they never had stones. :(

Hamilton Douglas (died 1923) and David Douglas (died 1907) are also buried in the same lot ... they don't have stones either.

RE: Mary Elizabeth
Hi Matt,

Mary Elizabeth Corpier Rowe is my Great-Great Grandmother. I think there is a connection to the Murrells, but am not sure what is. They may have been neighbors. Do you have a connection to either families?

Yes. I would be happy to take over the memorial.

Mary Whittiker and James Cook
I have added the info you sent be to Mary Mildred Cook's memorial, but I have also transferred ownership of her and her husband's to you. I am not related to either of these individuals, so I"m happy to turn them over to someone who is.

Thanks for sharing information.

My sister and I are both searching but we haven't found a connection yet, but that doesn't mean we won't eventually. It's the right timeframe. We'll let you know if we find a connection.

Louisa Mabie

I do not have any more information on this person. However, I plan on doing some further research during the winter months. I have added her name along with your name and contributor number to my tickler file. If I come across anything of interest regarding Louisa I will certainly forward it along to you.

Sterrett Family Transfers @ Mt Olivet
We are working on the plot #'s at Mt Olivet hoping to make up some sort of diagram eventually. I haven't transferred the memorial sites as yet in case there are changes that need to be made. Since he is your 4th great grandfather I would be happy to transfer to you when we finish with the project. Please check with me from time to time to see if we have made progress.

Glad we were able to help you. One of my ancestors had his slave as the first one buried there. I finally was able to get through there several days ago.

Memorial for Mary Cook Goad has been transferred. I have a very good friend here in Los Angeles, Jeffrey Waack who is originally from Michigan. Any relation? He lost both his mother and brother this past year. It's been a rough one for him.

Charles E. and Belle Shackelford Conway
I have updated the memorials for the Conway's to include their death certificate info. I thought you might want to know. I recently took over their memorials and saw that you had added info in the flower section because you weren't able to get a response from the original inactive poster. Hopefully I have updated the memorials to your liking.

RE: F-A-G Transfer Request of my Dad's Memorial

I have just been able to get back on Find A Grave.. personal family matters of the past few years have taken precedence.. I would be more than willing to transfer this memorial to you.. I have a special interest in military graves, since I myself am a vet, the daughter of a vet and so forth.. I have at least one member in my close family who has served in some capacity going back to the Rev. War..

The Samuel Shackelford I am looking for is the father of Edmond Shackelford and the husband of Nancy Blain. I saw where you left flowers on Edmond Shackelford grave page and it said that you are 3rd Great Grandson.

Thanks for any information on the where abouts of the grave site.

Do you know if that is his name or did he go by a middle name? There are two possible plots: one belonging to ??? Gorin and another that belongs to Thomas J. Gorin.
